I wanted to create something that nobody has ever created, so since I'm really interested at math I came up with this idea!

are you looking for the simplified version (e.g. √50 = 5√2) or for the decimal approximation (e.g. √50 = 7.071...)?

one thing you can do is repeatedly check if the square of a number is greater or lower than the number you want to calculate the square root of. For example, to evaluate √18 you check 1² < 18, 2² < 18, 3² < 18, 4² < 18, 5² > 18, so you know that √18 is between 4 and 5. Then you check 40² < 1800, 41² < 1800, 42² < 1800, 43² > 1800, so you now know that √18 Is between 4.2 and 4.3 (because √1800 is between 42 and 43). Then you continue, 420² < 180000, 421² < 180000, 422² < 180000, 423² < 180000, 424² < 180000, 425² > 180000, so √18 Is between 4.24 and 4.25, and so on.
