It won't be for long, considering that Antelope drops support for their products after they've been out for maybe 3-4 years (at most). You might be able to use them in class compliant mode with future operating systems, but that means you will lose most of the functionality and control of the interface. If you are a PC user there's no guarantee that their drivers and software will even work with current Windows versions.

Are those plugins good? Do they compete with the current VST selection? Do more expensive converters actually make a difference? Is this converter suddenly better because it has some technology from a more expensive product?

My opinion, you would be better off getting an SSL 2+, Steinberg UR-RT2 or a Neve 88M. You would benefit more from a more colored sounding preamp than the highest quality A/D converters. Above all, none of this matters if you don’t have a great song to begin with.

It probably wont be the audio interface of the future--if you want to get work done. My experience with Antelope was more downtime than uptime. Save yourself, and get something from a known reliable company.

The Galaxy is overpriced, but converters are not everything. In the analog part of the interface, the circuit design and the rest of electronics must also be best quality. So, the Galaxy must cost $700 anad the Quadro must cost $350.

I did identify the difference correctly, listening through my iphone speaker to be honest, however my choices were ABB and I was amazed to see your answer that the answers are correct, however being opposite - The atlas sounded less open in high freqs through the iphone speaker as I said. I couldnt conpare the stereo image or the thickness of the lower spectrum. PS: Wow dude calling UNIVERSAL AUDIO just ‘universal’ with just a half of it aint cool. As if you were calling New York just as simple as ‘new’. There are universal devices for cars and construction. That felt offensive 😂 well i heard the correct terminology later on in the video so neglect my comment 50% 😅
