If I make it on a Wednesday , how do I keep it green until the following Wednesday? Or if I decide on a mature lei look, will it be partially green in that timespan? Thanks 🤙🏽

Thanks for the tutorial. Do you also soften the leaves that are cut into parallelograms or just the strips used for braiding.

You don't necessarily have to, but it doesn't hurt! I like to just soften everything and then decide how much I am going to split into strips or for braiding.

You can also freeze the leaves to soften

How many ti leaves do you use?

I use about 20 big ti leaves which comes out to about 40 strips. That's if you want it really full, you can use less if you like it smaller.
