Saw her play in Austria last year, so magical. Her songs bring me so much melancholic joy :)

Spirit of my silence, I can hear you But I'm afraid to be near you And I don't know where to begin And I don't know where to begin Somewhere in the desert, there's a forest And an acre before us But I don't know where to begin But I don't know where to begin Again, I lost my strength completely Oh, be near me, tired old mare With the wind in your hair Amethyst and flowers on the table Is it real or a fable? Well, I suppose, a friend is a friend And we all know how this will end Chimney swift that finds me, be my keeper Silhouette of the cedar What is that song you sing for the dead? What is that song you sing for the dead? I see the signal searchlight strike me In the window of my room Well, I got nothing to prove Well, I got nothing to prove I forgive you mother, I can hear you And I long to be near you But every road leads to an end Yes, every road leads to an end Your apparition passes through me In the willows, and five red hens You'll never see us again You'll never see us again

Sound track of my late teens. Wistful and loaded with emotion. It clearly means different things to different people, it really does not have any genre except for some of Nelson Riddles work or even Incident at Nashabur on Santana’s Abraxas. The original track is so evocative of my youth and unrequited love in the mid to late 60s.

This was a super song to see live in Paris last week too. The finger + mouth sound effect is just so greatly weird.

Such incredible chord choices on this song, it all resonates the dark harmonies so beautifully

Everything she makes is gold, I have a real soft spot for her little love songs. Not 100% sure on a line or two so feel free to correct me! Baby, can I call you that? And maybe We could lay around all lazy Watch the stars go crazy Eyes roll back, all hazy Honey, whatcha smiling at, what’s funny? Is it how I am with money? And how my nose is getting runny? You hold me when I cry and make it sunny Sweetheart, even though we may be miles apart You got this fine art You hit the bullseye with a crooked dart And you know that you have my heart Darling, you got me thinking on a garden I never wanna stop, just starting And how I hate it when we’re parting Baby…honey….sweetheart…dar-ling.

@@tillsammans3120 Ah, different person, then! I was just guessing because the other guy took a video too, and had been to many different shows - he was Scottish, I think.

Him ending the song and then exhaling into his palms was something I hadn’t observed in pervious viewings. I saw this tour in Cincinnati, and he commented that at that particular show at the Aronoff marked their 90th tour date. I’m sure he was exhausted playing these songs, but what a gift to see. One of the best memories I have.
