One must remember that the rear and front tracks have different measurements and account for that when using the string to calculate the front toe. (Track, Front 1,518 mm Track, Rear 1,514 mm) 🙂 BTW the rear tracking is always set to tow in just enough to keep the back end straight especially under heavy braking, in fact, the suspension geometry should increase such tow-in as the rear end of the car tends to lift away from the road surface.

I have service and check engine light today I changed the oil not long ago but I not reset the car. Could that the reason the error indicators are on? it also seems a bit sluggish to me, it feels good at 90 km / h in five gears. I try reseting the car tomorrow I hope this solve my problem.
@gerardwhite59252 жыл бұрын
It sounds like you have an engine fault/malfunction, that's why the engine management light is on . The SERVICE light is to indicate that this type of fault requires a garage or service garage, it's misleading I know, it's just the way Renaults are. The sluggish performance leads me to think that a scan of the engine system would answer that question, once the engine fault is corrected the the SERVICE light will also turn off.

@gerardwhite59254 жыл бұрын
The "Service" light is not always a change your oil etc warning, the service light you are seeing is illuminated for a maintenance reason, it is usually followed by another light light to highlight where the problem area is. For example an airbags fault = air bag light + "Service" . When "Service" is illuminated you will need further diagnostic to find the root cause. I hope this helps. Ger

Here's another delightful Megane II airbag story. Its an rs225, after months of misery, new steering rack, dual mass flywheel and clutch, windscreen, airbag squib, throttle body etc i smugly sat in the cabin full of joy after finishing my pig of a clutch job. Glanced under the steering wheel and for the first time noticed ooh! The steering wheel's height adustable, never noticed before as the lever is off centre. Made the fatal error of, well fatal in the Renault world of simply adjusting the steering wheel height to the upper position. And guess what everyone, yep! Airbag and service light come on! Aaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!! Took the wheel, squib everything off, made sure all connections were disconnected, then firmly reconnected, light stayed off!! Idled the car for ages and it never came on!whereas it was coming on and off instantly previously. Came back to the car three hours later, lights on again!! Took a major huff and rammed steering wheel down to the lower position, light is off! For how long though? Answers on a postcard......

You are correct the wire colours do not align, in order not to mix them up you should make a note of the wiring colour and in position in both the male and female plug. Then solder the matching wire one at a time.

thnx for the answer! I assume the wires are connected in a parallel way? what I'm saying is that in theory I should be able to remove one at the time an soldier it to the one across? I don't know if I'm making myself clear enough and for that I apologize.
