The original engine plate was cut off and a 1/4" steel plate was welded in with an extra reinforcement under for support and to increase overall rigidity of the frame. There are adapter mounts you can buy online to adapter from the small block mounting points to the big block mounting points. Thats what I am going to do for my baja warrior.

I’m surprised they didn’t make some sort of sleeve for the rear center tray/cupholder. What was the hardest part? Seemed like those side bolsters in the rear were annoying.
@DariusBuildz
@DariusBuildz 10 күн бұрын
I think other than a full replacement, I don’t know if they could make the recess part where the armrest goes look decent. It’s no way to make that area tight. I think their solution was decent, even though I don’t love it. And no part of the install was hard. The hardest part was removing the bottom rear seat. It’s a little time consuming doing the final adjustments, so patience is needed for a tight fit and good results.

Great tutorial, thanks a lot. I've always hated that we only mix some good fluid with the old fluid that is still in the transmission and torque converter. I did a full flush on a Ford Territory but it's a lot more complicated. Used the transmission fluid cooler lines to connect a discharge hose. Connected a filler tube to the filler hole and top up. Run the engine and let a fixed volume pump out the discharge hose. Fill with the same amount of good fluid. Repeat until nice bright new fluid is coming out the discharge hose. You now have a completely refilled transmission.
@DariusBuildz
@DariusBuildz 10 күн бұрын
It would be nice if they had a flush option, but for some reason, Mazda didn’t make that possible with these transmissions. I think they hold about 6qts, so the remaining two sits in the converter unless you do the 3 drain and fills that Mazda recommends to get all the oil trans fluid out.

@DariusBuildz Remember when turning at the wheel the gear ratios are reversed... so 1st gear will hold better than 2nd gear which can more easily turn over the engine.... Also if you use something like a pipe wrench instead of the axle wrench then you can break the axle nuts free first before you even jack it or remove the wheels.

@DariusBuildz 60's should be enough theoretically however that's in a perfect world where all traffic laws are obeyed always. I am in the heartland of Missouri. Mason Dixon line living on living on old Route 66 and the speed limit is 55 here. And there are a lot of back roads and state hwys between 45 and 55 mph. People usually drive between sixty and seventy five On these roads with blind corners, big hills. Sudden hairpin or ninety degree angles Sometimes up or down hill even blind. With the gearing that I have this bike is set up for long distance travels. I built it with the intention of cruising 66 highway 90 for highway 50 fi've to Memphis and keep the bike at a comfortable 3800-4800 @65 mph and it does it with ease. I don't truly know what the top end of this bike actually is.I've headed up to 82 mph paced by 2 vehicles validating the speed. At that speed that low to the ground and such short suspension I fear the death wobble is fast approaching.
