Jerry, this set up does not apply for gen 3; correct? I’m looking at the schematic and my ‘02 donor shows a cruise control module. I’m thinking all I have to do is connect the wires from my ‘87 cruise control switch to match the wires on the ‘02 switch and the resistors are already built into the cruise control module.
@UglyTruckExperience

Is your 02 drive by cable or wire. Yes, this only applies to Gen 4. We do have a Gen 3 cruise control video, but am not sure if it applies to a 2002. A ton of wiring changed in 2003 from the original 1999 to 2002 LS. I will take a look at 2002 wiring when I get a moment. Jerry

I have 5.3 bored to 5.7, with domed pistons, and mild cam, and I want to use an F-body oil pan but I was wondering if the pump you are using would work or if I should go with a Melling high performance 10296
@UglyTruckExperience
@UglyTruckExperience 10 күн бұрын
That high performance pump is pretty much the same as the regular m295hv. The performance one is a bit shorter, comes with a few different springs for pressure and has a anodized front cover for some reason. If you are going with stock pressure you might want to save the money and just get the regular HV pump. Thanks. Jerry

Hello! Thank you very much for your videos. I'm in the middle of a swap. My base is a Jeep CJ7 (the front differential is on the passenger side) with a 5.3 LS engine and a 4L60 gearbox. Due to the side of the vehicle where the front differential is located, I chose to use an NP208 transfer case (1986 Bronco) and it uses a wire speedometer (analog type). What type of sensor should I use? I don't know how to adapt the speed sensor receiver from the wiring harness that goes to the PCM. did you have this problem? How would they solve it? thanks in advance.
@UglyTruckExperience
@UglyTruckExperience 9 күн бұрын
We have only done 1 four wheel drive truck. On that truck I used an adapter between the transmission and transfer case that had a spot for electrical sensor and then also used the mechanical drive on the transfer case to run mechanical speedometer. I know they make a mechanical to electrical adapter that lets you continue on with the cable for the speedometer. That is most likely what I would end up doing. Here is an example of one. www.summitracing.com/parts/cin-sn96?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlIG2BhC4ARIsADBgpVQtSnEb2iIeYm3Z-TlH_UV8YpSg6FD-3nBQ5aOWODXgenQh4JPHXIUaAtNKEALw_wcB

Second time I’m seeing this floor sealer as a clear coat for cars. The finish looks more natural for an old car compared to the kits that are too shiney. Looks like it dries too fast to have a wipe off stage. About to do this myself

Hi Michael! I've been really happy with it so far. I also liked that it was more of a satin finish, and I can add layers to add shine. Now.... do this for manual transmission!
@UglyTruckExperience
@UglyTruckExperience 12 күн бұрын
Hello John. This would work with a manual transmission also as long the ECM had a speed sensor signal. It won't engage cruise until above 45 mph, so as long as you were going fast enough it would engage. It would be up to the driver to decide what gear they wanted to engage it in. You would just need to tie one of the brake switches into the clutch switch also to disengage when the clutch is applied also. Do you have a manual swap? We don't see them very often. Jerry
@MrJblackmon1989
@MrJblackmon1989 12 күн бұрын
@UglyTruckExperience I was more concern about the wiring for brake and clutch... ideally, when you press clutch in, it would "cancel" so you can slow down, down shift, etcetera, act the same as you would press the brake petal... so how would you wire in a cluch pedal? I have an 88 camaro but chevy wiring is chevy wiring. I have a 4th gen LS with a Tremic 6 speed.
@UglyTruckExperience
@UglyTruckExperience 12 күн бұрын
Sweet. A six speed. That has to be fun!!! If it was originally a manual which it probably was, there would be a clutch switch that would be normally open when not pressing on the clutch. You could wire the cancel portion of this wiring mess to that and that would give you the ability to shift through those gears and not have to reset cruise. It would be pretty nice. If you were close by, I would love to do that one. Jerry
