This inspires me to tune up my Mukta Das set. I was trying to learn from David R. Courtney's book and "Anchoring" my ring finger for NA and getting extremely frustrated the Dayan wouldn't ring. I kept practicing thinking that in time it would come. Zakir's description on this is a major breakthrough. I'm thinking of it like staying in a tight orbit over a point. I was choking the drum before and thinking I was doing something wrong or my finger wasn't hitting hard enough. I am looking forward to more!
