If you have several small plastic sheets you could stamp each one with a different stamp then move them around until you get the layout you like.

To keep your white ink fresh, cover the top of the jar with Press 'N Seal, and then put the lid on. It also helps prevent your lid sticking. This was a absolute joy to watch!

Wow this is really stunning! You've combined my first and latest loves! I've had alcohol inks since shortly after Tim Holtz released his, and I just learned about Lavinia stamps a couple years ago. I have not been able to get such a cool look with my alcohol inks so it is time to really get to practicing, and maybe get some plastic straws too.

It’s a beautiful card! I love what you did - however I think I missed a step somewhere - did you rub the Vaseline off or did it somehow dry? I’ve used Vaseline for other types of resist, but never something quite like this - and we always rub the Vaseline off, so I was wondering if that’s what you did? Thank you.

I agree a stamping tool is an essential. I have the misti and tim holtz and 9 out of 10 I go for the tim holtz. The plate is 8x8 and flat with no lip on 2 sides so good for larger sizes, plus the lid is removable which allows easier inking. You just swap sides for clear to rubber rather than the inserted mat. It has a metal bar and receiver reinforcing the hinge which I find way sturdier than the misti. The acrylic is much thicker too and it's hinge is not a glued part unlike the misti.

Absolutely beautiful. I do however wish that when you are putting the finer details in, that it could be slowed down as you go so quickly on the recording. I’m quite new to painting with detail so it would be helpful perhaps if you could consider this in the future please? Apart from this, it is wonderful and you are incredibly talented. Tusen takk!

Hi there...Thank you so much for the feedback... I do appretiate it a lot... I'm afraid I tend to forget what you are pointing out, so sorry for that... I try to make my tutorials within 20min or so, because very long videos might be a little boring. Next time I'll try to slow down on the detailing parts, or maybe I can show a part of any detail work in real time, and then speed up... I will for sure have a proper look at it and see what I can do different... Please, be free to ask me whatever, and I will happily help you all that I can. Thank you again for the feedback...much love, Elisabeth

Oh my gosh, this is soooooo beautiful! I have never had the knowledge or courage to try these techniques but I love yours so much I really want to try! I do have a question though, what happened to the Vaseline that you stamped with, that is, does it dry away by itself or did you pat it with a paper towel? I had heard of using it but assumed that it would leave a big grease/oil stain on the paper. Thank you so much for sharing your techniques with us. As an aside, dandelions are one of my favorite flowers. Did you use to wish on them as a child?

Ohh, thank you so much for your nice post! I so appretiate it, and I love that I can inspire! The vaseline doesn't leave any residue at all. Imean, there are no "greasy" spots on the card, if you know what I mean... Please, please give it a go, and if you wonder about anything, just pm me on DelBello's fb page, and I will answer you as quickly as I can.. and be sure to tag me when you post,- I would love to see it! Dandelions are one of my favorites too, and I still wish on them.... love and hugs, Elisabeth

@@DelBellosDesigns I often bring them up and say that adults should have to make a wish on one because doing that will make them seriously think about their priorities--one wish only, what shall it be? We also used the power of pinky wishes for really, REALLY important wishes. You and your bestie would link pinky fingers, you'd tell your bestie what your wish was so they could wish it right along with you. Pinky wishes were seriously powerful! And dandelions saved a lives during the Great Depression--they were a food source! Thank you so much for your kind reply Elisabeth! I'm not sure when I'll be able to try this--I've got 2 cards swaps to prepare for and I'll need to find someone who can teach me how to post a photo.

Amazing! What a beautiful card. May I ask which stiff paintbrush you used for the leaves on the tree? I haven't got any brushes yet... so I'm trying to find out which one to buy to start with. Hopefully you want to give me some advice so I can try this. Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much... when it comes to brushes, I like to use real sable hair brushes for my watercolors. But I must say, there are a lot of really nice syntetic ones, like from Raphael. I use Raphael syntetic brushes a lot. I haven't tried Lavinias watercolor brushes, but they do say they are very nice to work with... I do find them a bit costly, so if you are just starting, I would buy something less expensive for sure. Maybe your local craftstore can show you and advice you? The very stiff brush I use, is an old paintbrush for wallpaint, and I guess you can get it in an ordinairy paintshop. Just ask for a stiff brush for detail work... I do hope this helps, and that my english is understandable... please, just pm me if there is anything else I can help you with... much love, Elisabeth
