Haha sure thing! Thats probably a good idea. I recommend practicing over a soft surface so you can just let the knife drop if you mess up. 👍

Dumb question here, but why do most vendors make 1-sided daggers? Is it a legal thing?

I have always kinda wondered the same thing. I believe it is a legal thing because some states dont allow you to carry double-edged dagger knives. They are also more dangerous for buyers, so i think there could be negative feedback from customers if they are not safe to use. Im really not entirely sure, though. I think they look awesome, and i would like to see double-edged folding knives more often.

They are benchmade bugout thumbstuds. They are way better than the ones that it comes with IMO and they actually fit too.

Is there any alternatives to the 0223? I love the look and zt but the 0223 model is rare and expensive.

There isn't a really good alternative that i could find. I ended up getting a crkt homefront, which was sufficient at the time. It's a pretty good knife, too, with the tactical look. Ill let ya know if i can tbink of any better alternatives. The 0223 is so worth it though, especially if you are a fan of the look. I love the look, that really the one expensive knife that got me into knives.

It offers a lot more grip in my opinion. Maybe even too much. The frag texture was a bit aggressive to me. The edges felt a bit sharper than i would have liked. It was definitely a cool version though.

Two things. Not to be “that guy” but it’s a bar and chain, not a blade. Also, tighten that chain up a little more. The reason is that if it gets too loose it can fly off the bar and send you to the hospital. Keep your chain sharp and your bar lubed and you’ll be off to the races.

It's not too bad. If you know the mechanism well and hold everything down so the spring doesn't fly out, then it's not too difficult.

Ive polished scratches off my beater BM Valet GC so much that you can barely even see the pattern anymore, but when bright light hits it it reflects off in all directions. Thats probably my favorite thing about Damasteel.
