Regarding what to do after a power outage. If the power is out for 12hrs, your sprinkler discharge timer will be affected accordingly. If you set your sprinklers to spray at midnight thru 5am, since the power was out 12hrs, your timer will set off the sprinklers from noon to 5pm. Not a pleasant experience for kids in the yard or homeowners mowing. So always check your timer to ensure it's set to the correct time of day, much like you would on your microwave and coffee maker.

Very informative explanation. Dr Abit explains the systems so well. I will follow this advices in rechecking our septic system at home.

So basically 3 separate tanks with air system in middle tank. Can i use a tank with baffles 2 section tank close to house, air pump for 2nd part of tank and 1 more tank after ? Or would 1 tank with baffle be ok with air system

But won't the chlorine kill the good bacteria found in the soil at the drip site that is needed to treat the effluent water being expelled? Like surrounding earthworms etc that would build better soil structure?

I just bought a house in the country with this kind of system. I was so confused when I saw that I had a "sprinkler system" spraying out into a forest!! Now I'm laughing because I realize that it was the septic system. Thank you so much for helping me understand what is going on and how to maintain it. (I hadn't even considered what to do when we lose power!) :)

An outhouse is cheaper and less maintenance.

Sir, thank you very much. I live in my village and only have small area around my house. However the soil is too shallow, not more than 2.5 meters everywhere. Below that ground is extended limestone, white in color. My question is, is it recommended to dig further the limestone for a conventional septic tank? What would be any likely future impact (good or bad)? Your response would help in my adventure to do these things myself.

Why not just put bacteria kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mq5xhaiC3bnRZ5s.html from the bottom of the ocean or the bacteria from our salty boggy marshes that breakdown and consume organic matter and convert it into electrical current as long as you use a non-conductive septic tank and then put a superconductive coating on a conductive Rod or strip of metal on each end of the septic tank to receive electrical current discharge from bacteria to power your house or charge an EV vehicle.

I would like to offer some insite from a city girl who is building a homestead (my husband refuses to call it a farm,, he says that's what city folks say) in South Central Oklahoma. I'm on here watching videos, trying to wrap my head around the whole process. Verbally, I think he does a fantastic job of explaining it. I would have loved it if he were Showing us which system is which. If he could, say flush a toilet and show us what went where. Sir I want to work with an idea of artifically create an aquafir in the mountain areas where there is mostly metamorphiic and igneous rocks (sub himalaiyan region) some part of kashmir pakistan. Because of issues of drinkable water not available for people. Due to population spring water is not sufficient for future need. Could you suggest me something regarding this?

Aw i wish to go to colorado state. i have family there but in my state, expectations are low and teachers dont put effort so my gpa is trash :/ at least i can get in the university here but i really wanted to pursue bachelors in colorado. Atbleast now i know i can do masters there.
