Have a Omega Seamaster 300 and a Seiko LX titanium wear the LX a lot more does not draw attention like the Omega Seamaster Chronometer. It's a great watch, and most people think it's a normal Seiko

I think this video is funny as hell. Mainly because this, in my view, is the best Marinemaster they've ever released. But maybe it's about all this whining we see on the internet about "respecting" the name Marinemaster. The monobloc diver's watch you desparately want to call the Marinemaster was ostentatiously not a Marinemaster when it came out in 1968. It was just called the Diver's 300m, reference 6159-7000. It had the word professional on the dial. If you completely disregard the 1990s SBCN005 Marinemaster Transocean, it wasn't until 2000 that they launched the Marinemaster as a subbrand for premium spec dive watches. Sure, the 6159-7000 case shape was the first Marinemaster, but the more expensive versions of the Tuna followed in 2006 with the SBBN013 Marinemaster. Historically neither the Tuna, 6159-7000, C-shape, Turtle, 62MAS, nor Uemura were ever called a Marinemaster. All this moaning on ahout the use of the moniker just demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of Seiko's history with dive watches.

I had the exact same experience..Went to pick up the 453 and left with a Bulova Super Seville green dial 37.5mm .. Still keeping my 143 as well.

I don't like '3 days' text. I do like everything else.

For me, the 143 wins easily. It's prettier with its famous gray sunray dial and brushed bezel. I also prefer the fact that it's a bit chunkier. The 4 holes on the clasp to adjust the bracelet are a big plus too.

Spb143 is my preferred. 3 ocklock date and no 3 days, along with as you say the better dial.

First of all I’m a huge sucker for symmetry and I love the direction Seiko is going with the complete 3 o’clock hour marker and 4.30 date in all their new releases. Looks so clean and the date isn’t obstructive at all + the bonus is a very cool looking fully symmetrical lume shot ! After observing Seiko for years, I just know they’re gonna milk these colour ways (black , blue and the guilt grey) and then release a few random colours and limited editions of this new SPB 62mas , earn good revenue . Then after a year or 2 they’ll release the coveted and iconic black bezel / anthracite sunray dial version of this watch like the SPB143 and earn even more revenue. I mean we can’t hate on that tbh , just good business strategy 🤷‍♂️

Hey kirby , i’m a fellow Seikopath and a G-shock enthusiast here . So happy to see you dip your toes into the g-shock world and also scared for you at the same time cuz G-shocks are a dangerous combo of too much fun and cheap at the same time . You should definitely try put the full metal squares or the metal square/ rubber strap combo ones ( way more comfortable than the metal bracelet) . They’re a completely different wearing experience/quality from the resin ones . The resin ones have a plastic/resin core of the watch whereas the metal squares have a fully metal core with a black DLC coated screw down caseback . The metal squares have a bit of heft to it and feel very high quality on the wrist. I suggest you to try out the GMW B5000G 1 . It’s the full black metal square on a black rubber strap and a positive display. One of the best squares out there imo . Hope this info helps you out mate !

I have the SPB105 (green sunburst dial And gold hands/indices). I swapped the bezel insert for a ceramic from Yobokies and purchased one of those cool Seiko chocolate bar straps to complete my MM200 mod.

I like the look of this watch. I have actually had the Marinemaster 300m in my sights for over 10 years. LOL I can't seem to make myself pull the trigger and buy it. Thing is, though I love its looks, I am afraid that it likely wears heavy on the wrist. I like a watch to be comfortable.

The spb143 is a piece of junk, the 6r35 is crap. This might be better but the bracelet is the same as the spb143, crap diver extension not enough micro adjustments but most important, buying it I'll be cheering Seiko for not regulating their movements. The watch looks really nice a better version of the spb143 with that dead grey dial no thanks.
