So happy to see Dr Christoph in this video, I have known him as my nephrologist for over 10 years now. Was first seeing him at SickKids hospital, then after turning 18 and being shifted to TGH, having appointments with him whenever he is available. He is someone I am forever grateful to as he has greatly helped me and my family in our fight with my rare condition C3GN. Thank you. I have Gitelman's. I was diagnosed 6 years ago but only told I have CKD. I had no idea the reality of this thing until April this year (2024). A new med I started for a different issue caused a crisis which I had to weather with just the help of an overwhelmed but deeply concerned general practitioner as I couldn't get in to my nephrologist for weeks. I kept being urged to go to the ER but I knew that would make things even worse. Fortunately I saw a much more knowledgeable, new NP at my nephrologist's office and I'm sticking with her. Now I have my brain and energy back, I'm learning. This video is very helpful and I will be sharing it with all my docs. Thank you.
