Synthetic! (I'm in Australia, I would imagine the climate would be similar to Texas) And yeah the whole UV vs human hair thing, totally true, if you're talking blonde; human hair in blonde will go from lovely to awful YELLOW. Also I'm lazy and can't be shagged styling anything, however they style the synthetic jobs in their production... well it's way better than what I can do

It would help if the topper was the same length.

I only wear human hair, now. I spent 13 years with synthetic and it was awful.

Absolutely agree - AND I detest “heat friendly” or “heat defiant”. They are hard to style and get frizzy, snarly, dead. I avoid them now, after a lot of experience with them.

So my hair started fall out or shedding last July. I’m afraid to wash it. Hand full of hair ccomrs out. It has thinned overall mostly sides. My scalp is still ok so far. I’ve been to two dermatologist with different opinions hard to know who to believe. One suggested minoxidil to help it grow faster another one suggested finasteride, which taking things really scare me. It was down past my back now I’ve cut it up to my shoulders to try to keep the heaviness off of it so it won’t break off as bad. I wake up in the morning. I have a few hairs on my pillow, I see it on my clothes. I know that it has to be hormonal related which I am not allowed to do hormone replacement therapy. Long story short freaked out and I know it’s gonna come time to get a wig and I’m not sure what kind of wig to get what would be a good one the process of itto measure any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am lost right now.

Thanks for the tips! I have had both and am tending to lean to synthetic. My human hair ones really frizz up 😢

I wish I could see your Jon Reneau topper without it being tucked behind your ear, what it really looks like in case I want to get one. Are these human hair?

Ok I've been wondering what that inch and a half poof is in the back of my Jon Renau topper. You just said it "Permatease". Is there a way to get rid of it?

I used to be anti synthetic until I actually tried a high quality one. Never looking back. The main thing I dislike about real human hair is I never truly know the original texture of the hair, even if the wig seller knows who’s head it came from! and as someone that has always never did their hair, it’s annoying having to basically learn how to do hair lol

Great video! I never considered gravity. It’s a quasi ‘cold set’ because it’s virtually dry when I throw them up inverted. I think I’m going to insert the drying ‘wig stand’ and leave it lay down horizontally on the towel and periodically move it around to dry spots on the towel to finish drying off. That way gravity cannot destroy it, and I don’t need to worry about it getting ‘musty’ from sitting damp on a damp towel. Win/Win! 🙃 😉 Thanks for this insight! Glad YT recommended you to me.

My hair turns light during summer, and dark during winter. I personally haven't had any problems with it. The colour of my hair depends on whether I spend more time outside or inside, I always assumed it's the same with human hair wigs.

Great video as always. When I was in my 30s I wore wigs for fun with no problems. Now that I am past 50 a wig is so uncomfortable because they are hot to wear. I find my neck sweating even though I don't have hot flashes, the wig just is hot. Toppers are so great for the reason they don't hug your hairline and nape and let the air in. But I'm needing a wig soon and not looking forward to it. Menopause sucks!

omg love, I thought I was the only one struggling all my life with Acne, even after Roacutane....and androgen alopecia....I literally bold....so not only fighting all my life with face and hyperpigmentation...but as well hair.....I'm so jelly of women who do not have to do so much to look amazing...while I hide my face under make up and hair under topper or a wig....I'm not alone🥺🥹

I am 49 years old and grew up much of my childhood in Dallas so I know the humidity. That being said, I started off with faux ponytails in Texas in my youth and yes I agree the synthetic are way friendlier as far as heat in Texas, humidity etc...I still to this day prefer the ponytail as seen in my little thumbnail from Forever young wigs. I think it's called eternally young? lol I should really know considering I've ordered the same one for YEARS now and Amazon even sells it in shade 4, my shade. I love sythetic front lace wigs due to the color options and being a lace front they are more realistic. I was just seriously considering spending a grand on a human one until being reminded of all the reasons I don't do human hair! Great video. Thank you. God bless

Doesn't synthetic wear out quickly, though? That's what I was told but not sure if it's true.
