It's done exactly as it is with the Knuckles in Sonic 2 lock-on. Press Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right. If done correctly, you'll hear a ring chime. After that, you simply press start. It's either that, or you could enable the dev mode in the "ini" file that comes with the game.

i don't get why they couldn't just have hidden palace at the mystic cave pit like the zone is all there and everything you don't need to do anything new with it, and if you want to anyways, then make it a setting to have it either be accessed like the mobile port, or whatever new way team forever is cooking up

It's not in the spike pit in Absolute Except there's a mod that adds the entrance to Hidden Palace Zone back in called "Hidden Palace Unhidden" Also the mod is not made by me

Guys it's not about jumping in the pit... Just read the description and your good to know how you do it.. just go to the game's folder and go to settings.ini.. then find the dev menu option and set it to true by simply typing true instead of false.. and then go back to the game and go to any save file.. once your in keep pressing F3 on the keyboard until you get to either proto palace(if you keep holding the button so much) or hidden palace (if you press the button just once when you reach death egg)
