If you're thinking about getting another the balm product I'd recommend the "In the balm of your hand" palette. It's got a great mix of their products and includes 3 powder blushes, a bronzer, 1 cream blush, 4 eye shadows, a hilight and a poured lipstick. All of the products in it are either available in their regular line or in a palette. Nearly all the face products can also be used as eyeshadow so it's actually very versatile. I got mine a year ago and to be honest I've used it more than the apples palette.

Ana Rodriguez I'm roughly a NC 25 but i don't really fit into Mac's colour system at all. The bb cream is very neutral in tone and also shears out as you blend it. I think I would be ok on any one either NC or NW from 20 to 30. I really like it and I've used it a couple of times since I got it. Let me know what you think of the box when you get it x.

Caroline Stokes Thank you. I haven't had time to give them a proper test at the moment but I will put them through their paces and let you know. I've used the de-slick spray with the YSL Fusion Ink foundation but as its so long wearing its difficult to see how much of and effect it's had. So keep an eye out I'll get back to you as soon as I can. x

Claire Lucy Thanks Clair, I have the base coat as well but I'm not using it at the moment, I think it's good I just usually use a nail hardener. No I don't get Glossy Box any more, it looks good this month what did you get?

No It didn't. After about 10 emails they finally replied and sent out another box-rubbish. Do u get glossy box?

I like the Soap and Glory Thick and Fast Mascara the best at the moment. I prefer length and definition to thickening and this one is just right for me. Also found the Rimmel Scandaleyes to be quite good for this too.

Caroline Stokes I haven't tried anything from the soap and glory make up line yet, mainly because the stand at my local boots is always such a mess. I defiantly prefer lengthening and defining mascaras like you, I'll have to give it a go.

Ah yes, that's off putting. I've only tried a few Soap & Glory things, but the lip crayons are really good too. Hope you like the mascara if you do try it. Love your channel by the way x

Claire Lucy A couple of minutes after I had finished filming I noticed that the sun cream was a lot dryer, I think I put too much in one spot. I nearly got the Louise Galvin hair mask, but on her website it said that it comes in a fine hair and curly hair variety and I taught that if I got the fine hair one it would be pointless on my hair. Which one did you get? I'v been on a filming marathon the last two days and I've filmed a tutorial of the nail design I'm wearing so that should be up soon. x

You have to be careful getting the Eucerin out as too much runs out. I think it will be good. The Louise Galvin hair mask doesn't mention fine or curly hair on the tube I have. It says this is a twice weekly treatment for damaged or coloured hair. My hair isn't damaged but it is coloured. I've just about run out of conditioner so it was a good one for me to choose. I've used Louise Galvin hair products before and I like them. Plus they do not contain SLS, PEGS, Parabens, Petrochemicals or synthetic fragrance which I try to avoid in skin care and hair products although its difficult to avoid in make up. You have a good speaking voice for the videos which is why I like them. Look forward to your nail video x

Claire Lucy I'm trying to learn a bit more about ingredients at the moment. I think that's its really difficult to get to the heart of it a lot of the time because there is very little proper evidence on both sides. I like to see the evidence and make up my own mind when it comes to most things. I've been reading Caroline Hirons blog quite a bit, she's very knowledgeable about ingredients and it's often a good place to start. Thank you for the lovely compliment x.

Hi Is there really very little evidence? I googled ingredients on products and found they were harmful such as Sodium laurel sulphate which is the foaming agent in shampoos, bubble baths, shower gels, toothpaste etc it is a harmful skin and eye irritant. x

Claire Lucy Your right about SLS it probably has the most evidence against it. I think that there should be more scientific studies done by the cosmetics industry, if they want to use chemicals in their products. My main concern is that, companies will start using something that is as bad or even worse instead. x

Claire Lucy I really want to try the Coola sun cream, I keep missing it when they have it in Birch box. It sounds like exactly the thing I'd like, I just want to try I before I shell out the best part of £30.

Have you got any birch box points you could use towards it? It goes on nicely and I have sensitive/oily skin, it doesn't irritate at all. It doesn't feel sticky on my skin. trying first is best though.

Claire Lucy I'm going to spend my birch box points on something from the balm at the moment. I'll probably get it next year as I always get new sun creams every year because they degrade over time.

Claire Lucy Hi Clair That's a pity I've used mine loads, when I bought it in May I only had 2 blushers and now if you include the 6 in the palette I've got 14 which is a bit excessive. As I said I've got quite a handy place to keep it where I see it all the time so I think that's the main reason that I've used it so much. I understand why you bought it, its so cute but it is quite a lot of money if you don't really use it. I'm a sucker for palettes.

Mine is inside a liberty bag in my room. Must make an effort to use it.

Hi Claire. The only thing I've tried from Amie is a sachet of the Spring Clean mask, which irritated my skin, I might have to give them another go. I had two tubes of the original Garnier BB, but I always found that it was a little dark for me and went shiny quickly. I've only heard good things about the combination/ oily variety so I might have to give it a go. I've been loving the Bourjois CC cream all summer, though it's more of a light weight foundation than skincare. Thanks for your comment, I should have some nail videos coming up in the next week or so. x

I've not tried the Amie mask. I love the facial wash in the pink tube though. Mu skin is oily/sensitive so have to be careful what I use. I use the shade light/clair in the garnier BB cream. Nail videos would be good and what about a nail polish collection? x

Claire Lucy Have you tried anyhting from La Roche Posay, Avene, Vichy or Bioderma? They are all French brands but mainly a lot of their ranges are designed around sensitive skin, in particular La Roche Posay and Avene. I will be doing a nail polish collection soon, it's defiantly going to be a long video.

Not tried any of the brands u mentioned. I don't like using products containing chemicals such as parabens in my skin care and body products. I use make up though as it's harder to avoid them. Look forward to your nail polish video then. U are off camping aren't you? Lucy x

Hi Clair, thank you. I did an ombre for this look, with a deep raspberry red (Essie Style Hunter) at the base of my nail and a bright coral red (Nail Inc Cocacabana Coral) on the tips. The Nail Inc colour came free with InStyle magazine and isn't in their regular collection unfortunately but they have had a very similar colour free with that magazine in about May for the last 3 years. x
