If you take a Tennis ball and drill a hole smaller than your shop vac hose on one side and get some large or small tubing depends on project and cut or drill another hole directly across from the first hole to insert your tubing. Then you attach the ball to the shop vac with duct tape and insert your tubing. Then you have a vacuum insert that can get into small spaces like you are trying to vac out. Maybe get 2 or 3 different size tubing pieces and use one for large, another medium and a fine one.

No wrong! So-called cold air intake can actually lose you power & money! Cold air intake can actually be hot air intake!! The best thing to do for your intake is to put a high flow paper filter on and change it every three or four months.

It’s actually a myth in the case of plastic or glass such as windshield that factory is better. A windshield at a reputable place is a windshield! Most aftermarket plastic window visors are the same as the factory! They’re just cheaper maybe better sometimes! They just don’t say Ford on them!

No, that’s not common with aftermarket tow bars! To prevent rust by a Kurt made in the US towbar! Then wash them and put car polish on them every three times you wash the car! If you ever get rust. Brush it off with a wire brush. Sand it clean. Then spray it black with automotive spray paint. Spray two coats at least. Then spray in automotive clearcoat, then continue waxing it every three months at minimum.

I've been having an issue with my head unit, It resets every time I take the key out of the ignition. I'm just wondering if you'd have any tips on my situation!
@jaysonmiller1162 күн бұрын
Also I had to hard wire the whole setup so its very possible this was a personal mistake, I've looked over all my wiring multiple times and everything seems correct.
@MotorsandMischief2 күн бұрын
If its resetting, that usually means its losing power when you shut off the system. Ideally its wired with keyed power to turn on the headunit so it doesn't drain the battery but it also needs constant power so it doesn't have to reset every time. Depending on where you grabbed constant power from, sometimes the car will keep power on for a few minutes after you shut off the key, and then shut off power completely (for like windows for example, so you can close them after the car shuts off). If you tapped into one of those, then it could seem like constant power but actually be shutting off after a while. If you've got keyed and constant hooked up properly, and the constant power really is constant, then the power loss might be in the head unit itself and you'll need a replacement. Good luck to you!

Hy. Do u have any idea what problem i might have. 1995 5.2l limited. Question: my Od doesnt work. It goes in the 3rd gear and stays there. If i shift manual it works rly smooth. 1,2, od(3) and R. But if i have a gear in (loudest on R) the transmission makes some noise. So. If its an electrical problem. Why the sound? If its a mechanical problem. Why does it work so smooth with manual? Kind regards and thank you for the good video
@MotorsandMischief7 күн бұрын
The 44RE locks out 4th anytime the computer senses a problem. It could be something like the computer is sensing a different speed on the torque converter than the output shaft and in OD they should be the same, so it will lock it out to protect the transmission. Anytime it has an issue, it will flash the OD light on the dash. Get a code reader and see what codes its thrown for the transmission. That will point you in the right direction and hopefully allow you to get it fixed without too much trouble. Unfortunately, noises from the transmission are almost always a bad thing, but start with the codes and go from there.

@@MotorsandMischief thanks man! Love you guys! What does his Raptor get mpg? I have a full crew cab with 33’s and a Roush Supercharger and Roush exhaust. Get 9.5-10 mpg avg. drive a lot city…don’t step on the super charger too much. Was curious. Also has he messed with the Roush diagnostic software at all via the OBDII port? Roush telling me that is what needs to be used. I don’t have a laptop for it yet and was wondering if he uses it or just a regular scanner? Did he get his tuned after the supercharger somewhere to lean it out or was it stock Roush tune? Which I hear is still kind of protective and can be tuned better.

Nice work. Did you find the leak and where was it?
@MotorsandMischief16 күн бұрын
I did! It was in one of the hoses for the rear AC, so bypassing it solved the problem. Turns out there's a protective sleeve over the hoses, and somehow mine started leaking inside that protective sleeve, which made it really hard to pinpoint because there was no visual evidence. Finally found it when the sniffer went off near the end of the sleeve (which is near other hard lines in the system) and finally got it to go off reliably by sticking it in the end of the sleeve.

So, what if the check valve fails?
@MotorsandMischief16 күн бұрын
Then it works like normal. But the check valve is in the oil filter, meaning there's millions and millions of them out there and this is tried and true tech. Also, you get a new one every time you replace the filter.

Is there a way to completely flush out the air trapped at the top end of inverted filter housing? The trapped air tends to lessen the useable surface area of filter element unless there is a way out for the air as it is being primed initially during start up. Just asking.

My car is 2018 bought it 2 years ago with 24k it was a return lease. I maintain it to the T. I found your video 3 weeks ago did the reset it went away, but now it’s back again. I think it’s the fuse box possible. Let’s see. Took it to honda they said it was the battery but battery is good 🤦🏽♀️ car running great no issues

Thanks! That was a fun one. I didnt charge for that work, it was a friends bike. I love bringing these bikes back to life so they can continue to be enjoyed. If you are comfortable with the work and have the time its super rewarding. I would say the time commitment is the biggest factor. What are the main areas that need work on your bike?
