Al, good job! Also get you A JIS screwdriver and you won’t ever have issues stripping those carb screws. JIS is the Japanese measuring system which will fit all your Japanese Powersports perfectly?

I bet the first time you removed the carburetor it wasn’t in 10min and wasn’t so easy as you try to make it look. In fact all the other KZfaqrs that attempt to remove these carburetors have a different opinion. They pretty much unanimously agree that they can be difficult. I tend to agree with them. But other than that you did a pretty good job with your video.
@cclcanadiancountrylife36282 жыл бұрын
The first time I removed the carb on my 250 quad runner. I had a heck of a time removing the air box. The carb was rather simple but that air box, dang! I didn’t put it back in had to remove the back plastics to get at 2 bolts. The hard part is putting that boot from the carb to the air box on. I made a little jig out of ABS pipe that loops around no more air box. Easy as pie now.

Another cause to this issue is the choke being engaged. Mine is so worn and faded that you can’t see any indicators on the lever. I never use it either, but occasionally I’ll drive with a ladder or something propped on the handle bars and it will engage the choke without me realizing it.
@Brindle_Boxer2 жыл бұрын
PS: I never use the choke because that machine is indestructible. It always starts, no matter how cold (in VA).

Very nice. Another thing that can cause similar bogging is a poor seal at the output side of the carb on the intake “manifold” This will cause decreased vacuum pressure, and your mid-range jet will not respond as it should.
@outdoorswithal85513 жыл бұрын
thank you for that advise i will remember it.

How do I prime the carb after I run out of gas? I think I am having this problem with my quad so thanks for your video. New Sub also
@outdoorswithal85513 жыл бұрын
well I just take off the air filter and squirt some gas and keep it running on the gas until it runs on its own.
@Samestori2143 жыл бұрын
@@outdoorswithal8551 ... Great thanks. I took my carb off and opened the bowl and found two needles and the screw had come out. I put it back together and had to adjust the idle. Seems to have solved the problem. Not sure how they came loose. I'll try the float adjustment if needed.
@outdoorswithal85513 жыл бұрын
@@Samestori214probably it loosened out over time by vibration
@Flipout4Chris2 жыл бұрын
Your petcock should have a prime setting. Let it run on that for a little. Another way is turn petcock to On and hold the gas tank vent hose and that will pressurize your system as well.
@dmo848 Жыл бұрын
Blow hard into gas tank to prime. Idk but it worked for me
