Great to see this raised on BBC breakfast. There is no justification for residents being kept apart from loved ones. 😡Has anyone asked them if they would rather take their chances with "viruses" or slowly due of loneliness? Elderly people die of flu and pneumonia and norovirus, that's just life. We all have a right to life before we die.

Hard to believe that some residents are still being denied their rights to a family life. Booking systems, appointments, no evening or weekend visiting - and this is outside of an outbreak!!!!

I haven't seen my mum since before Christmas because two members of staff tested positive at new year and their not looking at reopening to visits until at least 14 th Feb although they do keep reevaluating the situation

Hi Carole, please ensure you are your mum's essential care giver, you should still be able to see her even during a lock down, do have a look at our website for details - under resources - www.rightsforresidents.co.uk and do join our facebook/twitter pages . We are pushing for the back door lockdown of care homes to be addressed
