My side inline hose was also brittle and caused failure of the jack. I went to Pirtek that make hydraulic line/couplings and showed him what I needed. He had some line 5/16th" or 8mm ( he wasn't sure if it would work) It fit inside the brass collar on each the ends just like the OE version (I pushed the hose a very small amount past collar so it would get pressed/pinched to fitting when tight)......so I took the risk it would perform and he ended up giving me a left over section maybe couple yards long... it was a pretty stiff tubing for its size, but not sure what it was exactly. I had ages ago bought a repair kit, and to decided do only the rings out of the kit (didn't have small magnet tip for ball removal). My jacks the 2,800lb 1,300kg long reach so was different to the way he reassembles this jack in vid as the cranking pin sits more inside the frame so harder to refit and required taking the side control arms off and partially pulling the jacking arm up and locking a piece of wood under lifting arm so I could get to refit holding the big pin I also made up of crank piston retraction lever like they had so I could drop and blocking pin like they show. I didn't need anything but grunt for the compression of the long piston spring to get the cap on.. So did the rings and filled it up and noticed after many pumps .... nothing happening...you kidding me. ..looked for a hose leak, and nothing. I kept cranking for what felt ages and then it rose up perfectly. I guess the air has to be eventually push raw oil around to the pressurised side. Would've been nice for the vid to mention this endless cranking to get the job finished.

I was wondering, I have a little floor jack that I really like and it has this problem where it goes up then down a bit, then up and done a bit while you pump it, what would cause that? It had a little air in it but I got it out but the valve where you pump the handle looks like it's leaking a tiny bit, could that be it?

In relation to the question, I still think there is some air in the system. Please replace the sealing for pump piston and check the oil level is correct. Loosen no. 11 a little bit, to get the last air out of the system. Hello Snek Ether It's pretty well described in the manual. Hope this is enough. Monthly: Lubricate all mechanical parts with a few drops of oil. Important: It is mandatory to lubricate axle (9106200/9106900) for tipping gear every month! If not you risk “long” holes in the pump - and this is NO warranty!

At 10:58 the piston shaft/rod is not aligned to accept the grub screw in the adapter but then shortly after at 11:03 it is. How is the piston shaft/rod rotated into the correct position?
@ACHydraulic2 жыл бұрын
The adapter is locked in with the quill screw (red arrow), closest to the piston. You can rotate the adater until it is positioned properly. Afterward you tighten the other (yellow arrow) hex screw to the frame. See image here: i.imgur.com/azNsmQm.png
@noelmccarthy70362 жыл бұрын
@@ACHydraulic thanks very much for the reply. Just to clarify. It's safe to rotate the adaptor (with it locked into position by the quill screw) after reassembling the piston assembly so that the adapter aligns correctly with the other end of the piston assembly? With the air hose when I say disintegrated I literally mean that. Not just a tiny split it was broken into many, many fragments. I had the same issue with a Bendpak hoist and replaced it with a high quality hydraulic rubber hose. I'm hoping that if it fails it will just develop a small leak, whereas with plastic (polyethylene?) the leak is huge! The issue is probably worse in hot climates. Apart from that I'm really satisfied with the jack. I have some nice jack stands as well and will buy an engine hoist too. So, please pass on my thanks from an Australian customer.

@ACHydraulic2 жыл бұрын
The capacity of the DK13HLQ is 1300 kg/2860 lbs. Lifting full capacity requires a manual force on the lever of app. 400 N, which is normal and allowed according to the relevant product standard I don’t know the weight of you’re a 2001 Grand Prix, but with a V6 is must be pretty heavy at the front end. In this case you might easily need to pull app. 300 N, which is normal. We therefore assume that your jack is working properly.

@@ACHydraulic I started out jacking With the Jack handle in the fully vertical position, and just went a few degrees. Last week, I needed the high lift jack to affix a bumper on a 4x4 truck and I could lift the bumper into position, but the jack wouldn't hold the position. It would drop as if I turned the handle to lower. It did the same thing with or without loading. I saw nothing that would indicate the release was stuck or locked. Any suggestions?
@ACHydraulic3 жыл бұрын
Lowering with or without load indicates that the release valve is not closing properly. Please - again - verify that the release bracket is loose (with play) in all handle positions, and also that the release spindle retracts fully after release (does it change anything to push/tap on the end of the release spindle?).

hi, how to rectify if the oil mix in the air system? while lowering it down there is some oil mix in the air releasing from the cylinder.. btw newly repair.. do i need to drain/purge down the oil from the air system? TIA
@ACHydraulic3 жыл бұрын
Bleeding of the hydraulic system is not necessary: any air in the system will be gone if you run a full cycle, full stroke and fully down. Oil mix in the air system can be caused by leaking seals in the cylinder, causing oil to get on the dry side of the pistons. An easy way to check the cylinder seals is to disconnect the outside air hose from the quick coupling on top of the cylinder. Then run the cylinder full stroke: if oil is leaking from this fitting, then there is an inside oil leak. Another cause of oil mix in the air system could be, if the jack has been operated or stored lying on the side.

While I can cut the jack body apart to keep the oil reservoir in tact and I can mount the motor up the right way I want to invert the ram for the press. This will require drilling and taping the oil passage in the motor body and ram housing where they join to take a hydraulic hose but I need to know if this will work or do I need to modify the the entry point of the oil into the hydraulic ram and the return line. If I can get this sorted it will be perfect for an air over hydraulic press rather than tossing them in the scrap bin. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Stuart, Australia.🇦🇺
