The color of the tape on the start hold(s) tells you the general difficulty, then you follow the color of the holds to the top which is marked with the same color tape as the start hold. The big things are volumes and they are generally okay to use regardless of the color of holds the boulder uses (although this is not the case in some gyms). Hope this was helpful, awesome video! Very good but you need to slow down a bit and explain some of the moves , like the spinning camera map screen, i couldn't get mine doing that, we are not all at your level. Never got past 4 mins after 3 hours of trying to see what you were doing that you weren't explaining and mine never ended up like yours at 4 mins in so gave up, need to find someone who will literally hold my hand through this.

the best climber in the world is the one having the most fun! your shoes do NOT have to be uncomfortable, in fact, I wear socks and its awesome. No slipping and sliding and my shoes smell great!

Totally. There's some boulder problems where you're standing on the very tip of your shoes, and for those you'll need shoes that sit very tight. Many advanced climbers have 2 pairs of shoes for this reason. But those are like 3% of problems. Personally, I have very comfortable shoes that I can wear for hours, and if I encounter a problem that I can't do with them, I just don't do it.
