I too share your dream Chris but I’m over 60 working a day job and running outta time. It is also my dream to stay on the family farm without needing much from town, which is 30mins away. Hopefully one day. Really enjoy your channel. Keep it coming.🙏 That was funny what you said about being religious and praying. 😂 Also heard it said The Farmer is the biggest gambler there is.

Pigs will do much better against disease if you keep their immune systems strong. Lysine, salt, trace minerals: all that is important to add if it’s not in your premixed feed.

Hi, been watching the channel for a bit now, my wife and I really appreciate how rational and honest you are at approaching homesteading. We've been looking for a way to make even 10,000 a year off our 5 acre lot to help pay our property tax and some other bills. I garden an acre, but that doesnt wash out to much if any because of the wildlife that surrounds us. In your wisdom and honest opinion, do you think it's worth raising pasture pigs on 1/2 an acre?

@@Vaul_The_Merchant I think 10k a year is a realistic goal. My hogs take up about 3/4 of an acre depending on how you measure it and I'm running 6 to 10 sows . Email me [email protected] and I'll try to give you some ideas , my goal is 40k clear . This year hasn't been great but I'm getting close
