In my opinion, The DaYan Pro M is a marginal improvement over the DaYan v2 in almost every way, but they’re overall extremely similar. Most aspects of the v2’s performance are already excellent, so it’s not necessarily worth the switch if you already have that one, but the improvements in weight, grip, and customization are noticeable improvements with the Pro.

If you mean the Weilong v9, I’d recommend that one. But the YS3M is much better than the wrm 2021 maglev.

I know gan updated the packaging for their gan mega recently, and possibly also the contents within. If you got a new one (yellow box) and it doesn’t come with extra GES, it should still be GES v3, which you can buy sets of, either from GAN, or other cube retailers.

I magnetized it like the Valk2m 2x2, with the corners attracted to the internal “edges”, so it was just like magnetizing a corner-edge 3x3 (or in this case, Megaminx)

UV coating makes the surface of the cube grippy, compared to the slippery frosted plastic that many cubes use. It’s a personal preference thing, but I greatly prefer glossy, grippy cubes.

Thanks for organizing it, I had a blast! The trip wasn’t too bad and I’d definitely go to more upstate NY comps in the future.
