Generally looks really good! They should've got a decent map designed as part of the funding too though. These top-down maps are tricky to understand, they should look at alpine resort/Whistler type maps. Red looks fun, but I think they've also gone a bit too safe, needs more features. Not sure it would be a blue in Whistler/Alps, almost a green. And yet the blacks seem pretty sendy! 6:44 - poor trail design IMO. Why does the berm start so late?
@MissJoeyGough22 сағат бұрын
Yeah their maps is so hard to read i agree! I think the grading is lower than whistler because Scotland isn’t really used to flow /jumps trails yet and also it’s probably more in line with other trails centres anyway, bike parks trails are always tougher. I have heard there’s been a lot of accidents on the fastest bit of the red already too. Black is all rollable pretty much so not too out of sync with the grading of the other trails here I would say, just a step up from the red.

Very impressive, how big are those first few jumps (i am considering to try progressing to some black trails soon 😀)?
@MissJoeyGough2 ай бұрын
This is a while ago now, but if I remember right they are a little bigger than ACDC jumps but doubles not tables. The first drop was quite long but I think they may have made it smaller now.

I did actually have one go before this on my own - I stopped after the whale tail as I hadn’t really considered the rest yet - then got this tow from Will… so 2 goes really 😅 But it’s a testament to the building that I got through it so quickly and also shows how much trust I have in what these guys build! 🤟

9:16 why is there a pole in the landing, impalement included? xD
@MissJoeyGough9 ай бұрын
There was a guy softening up the last landing for the final part of the jam and i think he wasn’t expecting people to ride that bit at the time as the crowd were on the previous section - but we carried on as its not really worth stopping earlier. He put a rake in the landing to show it was being worked on…. Except we couldn’t see it til too late. Bad way to show a jump is closed but his intentions were well meaning, no harm was done so all good. And really i think if someone hit it it would have just fell over anyway.
@erichbachman73639 ай бұрын
I see, good no one got hurt! Fun to watch from top to bottom. I have been to Trysil, but can't imagine I'd hit jumps 10% the size of those!@@MissJoeyGough
