This movie will hopefully put the fear into you to never hook up with some random person, it only takes one psycho to cause your life to become a living nightmare. This was very raw and well acted but it's also incredibly disturbing to watch, I can't say I liked the movie because It was very disturbing but it was well done I think. I like how they made him seem very normal and decent in the beginning, he didn't seem like the kind of person that would be capable of something so awful. I find this to be a warning movie and a good film to incite fear in doing something as the girl did in the movie, she trusted this guy way way too quickly and was alone and no one knew where she was or what happened to her, very scary and this can easily happen to anyone in real life. There's too many people like this in the world, you can't afford to be foolish.

Just seen this beautiful film. At 53 yrs old its one of only two filmsl that made me cry. So sad. Maybe Adams motivation came from seeing Jamie bullied so badly by his sports friends and he didnt feel he could intervene.

There is no need for a sequel. In the last scene Effy is looking at photos of William and smiling and William is standing on the shoreline where the western current meets the eastern current. And in Effy's story that's where the truth about life is revealed. He returns to her and they get married when she turns 15 and live happily ever after. Just like a fairy-tale. The End

I completely loved the movie, I watched it 3 times so far and I want to watch it again. What I loved the most was how Austé helped Shangailé to go far and beyond her fears and it broke my heart to see how painful it was for Austé to find out that her lover was going away from her by following her dreams..
