I got to see that show last Saturday I loved it, Esther is one of my favorite stories from the bible

Not Long ago I was in Branson Missouri at Silver Dollar City. Over behind the Wilderness Church there was a little outdoor stage where someone was playing Bluegrass. I walked over and sat down to listen and learned something I didn't know. The guy singing played Dooley and then asked the audience if we had ever heard it and where? I naturally raised my hand and said yes on the Andy Griffith Show. He said and do you know where they were from. So the obvious answer I thought was North Carolina. That's where I was wrong they were actually from the Ozarks near Branson. So I learned something that day. Either way it was a good performance the guy put on that day. I'm sure the Dillards would have appreciated it.

I am unable to get to MO or PA - I did see a couple of these productions in regular movie theaters and would love to see more. Also would love to purchase the DVDs of the ones that are available for sale. can you help me find them? thanks

It would not have been the same show without the darlings a.k.a. the Dillards. Those are the best of all the Andy Griffith. It wouldn’t have been the same without Barney fife, or Otis Campbell or Andy Taylor or Opie. What a great show. hallelujah and praise the Lord for them

I picked up one of these at an Estate sale yesterday for $8!

It was fantastic. My almost 10 year old granddaughter loved it! I used to live in Las Vegas & went to shows there. This variety review type show could meet head to head competition with Las Vegas acts. It was fun for all of us! The boat was reminiscent of days gone by, food fantastic & the lake was beautiful. I thought Branson was going to be well, hokie. It was so much fun. We did everything! We did old Timey photos, hilarious, went on an Attraction that mimic’s flying all over the US. My granddaughter said quietly GoGi why are u crying… I said b/c the United States has so many beautiful places of wonder. We even landed on an aircraft carrier which my husband used to do when he was younger in the Navy. Brought back memories for him. I’m pushing 70 & went on rollercoaster rides that made my head feel like it was in a blender. Came back and jumped in our hotel pool. We also saw the play Esther. Blew me away! I’ve been to NYC, London, Paris, China reviews, acts & plays but never have I seen a set like Esther. Branson blew me away. It was nothing like I thought it would be. So much to do, fun fun too! We will go back!
