As soon as you hear his music something just settles in my heart and the day just got better. Box has been a blessing to all of us who love his sound, there is no one else like him after all the years he has been with us.

Lido left the boat that day he left the shack... That song on the soundtrack for FM (1978) turned me on to him. I was 16 then.

He holds a special place when we hear one of his classic tunes. They are just as good today as when they were released. He is so special. Proud of my fellow Texan

This man is mesmerizing to listen to. I love the story telling. I found it educational. I can’t believe the apparent lack of ego and the level of modesty this guy has. This interview just inspired me to search out more of his music - the stuff I am not familiar with, and listen to it. I just know I’m going to be impressed and entertained.

Boz Scaggs lived many years in Plano, Tx., where I've lived for 30 years. He went to St. Marks where he met Steve Miller.

In 1978, my music teacher, Ian Black, introduced the class to "Lido Shuffle" as part of music appreciation. I never forgot Mr. Black or Box Scaggs. An impression was made on all of us, young minds of the Boy's Model School, in Belfast.

Loved the backstory of Fenton Robinson's Loan Me a Dime recording. It may be the most played track I have listened to over the past 50 years. And as a radio DJ, I get to play it as often as I choose. Just a magical recording and Boz's voice is spectacularly perfect on it.

I'm a piano guy, so I don't connect so much with his later work, but I think "We're all alone" (from "Silk Degrees") is one of the most beautiful - and technically well written - pop songs ever created......and I think his vocals in his version still make it the best, his voice has a softness and sensitivity missing from the covers I've heard.

Just found this interview gem. Thank you. At 27:00 he talked about his voice not being developed when he was younger. I wonder if that's why he never sings songs from the Moments album in his concerts, which is my favorite Boz album. Humility is refeshing these days, but from someone with one of THE best voices EVER it's almost hard to listen to, him being so self-deprecating.

But Boz isn't that life? We grow in the love we have for a craft that we are pursuing. I guess I can so relate I was the slowest learner to anything but I follow the steps/grew in life, love and talent for creating, I don't think that any of us that are aware look at some of our earliest works and fine were not looking more a that growth flaws than the coming of wisdom for that craft. I find you refreshing humble in that analysis. In later year's when we pull it all together, we feel the flow of our experience together with the work we accomplished and it's refined. We know then to ourselves and more importantly accept what we are and what we are not. This is where the richness is I believe. Love this interview so natural and uncontrived. Carolyn~
