it looks like the stylist may have twisted the opposite way of however you originally twisted it. like the twists were unraveling a bit at the root. did that cause any problems?

You can never fully wash or rinse bleach from the inside of the locs...

I think you should stick with the professionals when it comes to color

I cut mine off after 5 years, i couldn't get it right. I have that exact needle and many others. They were down to my bra. Stress mental illness and lack of care the middle was barely hanging on. I felt they weren't apart of me, past 3yrs been hell. After contemplating, my locs too needed rebirth as i enter a new stage in life. I started & maintained them myself. After a couple months i just started a new set that I've had in going on 2 months.

The white spots are from product build up

Looks great!! Did you use this brand & color before? Your hair was already light, or did you use bleach before? I’m looking for an alternative to bleach. Also, for your roots, did you wash your hair before coloring it? You may have had some product there as to why it didn’t take. The color may have been on top of the product & it washed away when you washed the color out. I usually wash my hair about 2-5 days before coloring & I won’t put anything in my Loc’s.
