I liked how in the netflix seasons(8-12) they expanded on J-roc's character. It felt like the characters actually grew as you watched the series. Many fans consider seasons 1-7 to be the best, but i gotta say 8-12 are definitely great in their own way and have a less mockumentary feel and more of an overarching storyline/narrative being told through each character. J-Roc and T's friendship being expanded upon and his whole side story line about J-Roc's son was satisfying to watch. Man... I wish Torrens/J-Roc stayed with the show till the end!

When I got my gf to watch the show, her biggest laugh on episode one was when jroc comes in with his cane. She loved the character.

And Remi Nadeau in Shorsey. But to me one of his most outrageous and funniest characters is the principle in Mr. D (2012-2018).

Bonjour suis suis un gars de 36 ans du Québec rive sud de Montréal et j'ai connu Jonathan grâce à Jonovision et Street Cents. Ça me permettait d'apprendre l'anglais. C'était difficile car il parlait très très vite. Je m'ennui de Janovision et de l'époque où CBC avait des émissions jeunesses.

It's too bad he gave it all up over what turned out to be false allegations against Mike Smith. That was right at the height of the MeToo movement where any woman could say whatever they want about a man, and it was taken as fact without any thought or investigation put into it.

The J Roc style was huge in middle school. It was so over the top, but it wasn't a joke to them. That was who they were, it wasn't a phase. They literally grew up like that.
