KILLER ALBUM!!!

I didn’t learn about the full length *Bonk* album until roughly 14 years after it was completed and made available. My father was the one who introduced me to the big pig name, even though I had heard “Breakaway” at the beginning of Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure. I was pretty blown away to read more about them later on and learn that they didn’t have any guitar players in their outfit and that there was no improvising among them.

This album never fails to make me smile and bring back tons of great memories. A masterpeice of sonic awesomeness.

My teenage years rocked thanks to this awesome band. They even played my high school a couple times. So fun and good times.

Should have seen these guys live - the guitar was alway cranked like no band you ever saw and Gordie Lewis's tone was incredible ... best party band ever. Steve, Nick and Frankie were also all legendary performers. Cheers

Saw them at the Goalpost Restaurant in Caledon East. My first time in a bar when I snuck in at age 16. Sometime around 1980

My Bff Christine & Me, would go see them @ Eddie's in St Thomas, Ontario, we would show up early, always got the front & center tables, & we were mostly 16 & 17, I'm 55, Gord was 65 😪 We were there when they were in their FUCKING PRIME!! Rest In Paradise GORD LEWIS ❤🥀🌻🎸🎈⚡🎉💃

So sad to hear about Gordie's passing today! RIP Gordie!! TH was the soundtrack to my youth. Got my mom to drive me to the Elmer Fair to see the boys play. Great times!

Today we found out that Gordie Lewis, guitarist extraordinaire and amazing song writer, has passed away. Losing Frankie was a tough thing for fans.... Gordie's tragic death even more so. The Hammer will not forget you, Gordie.
