My bevel gear was very stubborn but came off. My machine was bought new 30+ years ago, trouble free until yesterday, very good now thanks to you. I am not meticulous like you so I have 1 screw left...great music, opposite of 1 video which overheard the TV and was unbearable. Peace!

I just completed this on my 2012 Jeep grand Cherokee and it fixed both my AM/FM channels. I recommend wearing gloves when you get to the metal frame to add grip and prevent slips / cuts. I went to Walmart and got a $10.47 heat gun. THANKS!

Does your new roller remain in place while driving? The design implies that it does, just wondering. Have you glued any foam on the feet for roof protection? Does it bounce around while driving
@dougmckown5Ай бұрын
it isn't meant to stay on the roof, however, it has stayed through a number of trips. I haven't noticed any roof damage, the weight is meant to be supported by the racks.

AWESOME VIdeo! I have never used my DeWalt drill without cursing the chuck for how crappy it is. I would GLADLY have paid an extra $5 for the drill if it had a KEY CHUCK that you can tighten! DeWalt chucks are the worst I have ever seen! They are a bad design, poorly made, and just don't stand up. I have only had to change chucks on my DeWalt tools. Every other drill chuck I have (KEYED CHUCKS!!!) has worked for years with no difficulty and no failures. I wish I could find a keyed chuck that would fit on my DeWalt tools! I would change them out in a heartbeat!

Just made this repair to my 2014 Jeep Wrangler radio this past weekend. Worked perfectly! My AM/FM stopped working a few months ago and then last week, the radio sound would go on and off every few seconds. This repair fixed both issues! Thanks for the video!!

This worked for my wife's 2015 Patriot Latitude. The first method didn't work, but I heated up a 4" deck screw head and pressed firmly for a few seconds, heated a little more and tried again. Worked like a charm. Thank you for the video!

My radio works perfectly, then just stops working, then at some point works again. But the Bluetooth works always. Is this the same problem you were having?
@Ellerbees3 ай бұрын
I just now noticed you said the Bluetooth always works. That's pretty strange. I would still bet on it being the same issue. The only other weird thing mine ever did was when I'd first get in the vehicle, for roughly 10-15 minutes I would get only static on every AM/FM station. Then at some point it would suddenly start working. I pushed every combination of buttons in that car trying to effect whatever that was when I would get only static, but it only ever started working when it felt like it. Have not had that issue since doing the video procedure.
@highlife69513 ай бұрын
Thank you for the response. I'll ponder the situation to see if it's worth the trouble to fix, or just listen to Bluetooth.. 😄
@Ellerbees3 ай бұрын
@@highlife6951 Good luck. If it helps your decision-making, I managed to get the radio out and taken apart in about 20 minutes, another 20 to put it all back. The second time around only took about half that long. 🤷♀️

Nice. We had exact same issue. I fixed the bake joint 6 years and now the broiler joint needs some TLC. Even though I am familiar with the process, it is really great to refer to this. The only thing I did different was to remove the control box from the front. If the solder trick does not work tomorrow, I'll need to ship if off. Fingers crossed. ** more difficult than this is getting the broil element back in place. They've left me with little or no spare wire and the connections are loosy goosy.

I have a very similar machine and am new to sewing. It is a Kenmore 385.15108200 machine I am DESPERATELY trying to get it to sew forward. It only does reverse. I tore it apart 3x now, but can't get the machine to sew forward. I see a spring attached to the reverse button. I keep wondering if something is wrong in that area. I cannot find a KZfaq video that matches this machine set-up to determine it. If you have any insight, it would mean a lot. I know this video is 4 years old,. but it doesn't hurt to try! :)

the lever mechanism that controls the forward and reverse direction is pretty simple. I can't say what to do, but I would take it apart and see if it is slipping when you press the lever

Thank You 100X over Doug!! -- Perhaps a timesaver -- on my heat gun I took a piece of aluminum foil stuck a pencil in the middle and wrapped it tight around leaving a good/narrow air hole. I took some simple copper wire wrapped tightly around the foil so it would n't blow off - less than 5 minutes - it worked perfectly!! Thanks again and again Sir - V/r SB
