I met Rocky King 4 years after this was filmed in the summer of 1988 on Plaza rd in Charlotte NC at a friends house.

This was a great time to be a fan. I lived in Atlanta during the School year and Charlotte NC during the Summers from 1974-1984, so I got the BEST of both worlds in Professional Wrestling! I spent MANY a Saturday afternoon watching GCW & Mid-ATLANTIC. My aunt worked at the Bank across the street from Crocket Promotions Office in Charlotte so we always got free tickets to the Charlotte Coliseum.

I remember this very day! It was Halloween Night in Atlanta GA baby!!. I was Trick or Treating with my best friends in Decatur Georgia on Scott Blvd when 3 Duke Blue Devils Football Team buses passed us on their way back to Raleigh North Carolina from playing Georgia Tech in Atlanta that night.

Gino Hernandez was a rare talent. He was a great heel. I always thought he would've made a great Horseman.

Gordon Solie was the BEST at what he did. He made this believable. He was a talent unto himself.

Love watching these… the only thing that would make it better would be the inclusion of all the old commercials, Dusty Rhodes shilling for Stand Back pain relief or Gallery Furniture, “hey, ask for the Wolfman!”

Ellering didn't lie. Bundy was the 2nd worst big man in the business. He was slow, clumsy, and not that strong for his size. Haystacks was worse, and the case could be made for Big Red, but at least Red could move.

This was done LIVE in Studio. In terms of technical ability and the trash talking these were the ABSOLUTE best Wrestlers and best days of Professional Wrestling from 1977-1988.

I remember in 1983 & 1984, in the DC area, we could finally get some NWA Wrestling! It was Public Access WNVC Ch 56 in Merrifield Va! They showed the NWA "World Championship Wrestling" from WTBS in Atlanta. So my first time seeing Ole Anderson as a Face Co-Host with Gordon Solie!! In the DC area up to that point, all we had was WWF.

Ole made so many mistakes when they expanded to Ohio and PA they didn’t lock down the talent or split the tour so the could do two towns a night this is why Brisos sold to Vince not enough money

Walking the top rope is so cheesy...the opponent just stands there "dazed" until the top rope walker gets in position and holds the opponent's hand to keep balanced...I don't know of a way it's possible to walk the top rope to look more natural...or at least not look like, "hey hold my hand while I cross the road I mean hold your brother's hand so he can cross the road....I mean rope.
