when attaching the bias tape, could I use heat and bond? I love sewing but I struggle with curves. :)
@JamieSanders3 ай бұрын
I haven't tried that so it's hard to say, but what you could do is use a little washable glue to attach the bias tape. The glue will hold the bias tape in place (instead of pins.) Then try sewing the bias tape, you might find it a bit easier.

I've found once in a while when I go to do the final press that the cuff seems a bit narrower than the body of the pillowcase, even thought it's all been squared up before sewing. Any tips?

Jamie, Enjoyed watching, thank you for taking the time to make the video! Can I ask a question? I am hoping you will know. I am having trouble on a new Singer (9920)and I wonder if there is a way to disable the start/stop feature. I would rather use the pedal.

Hi Jamie thankyou for this pattern However I'm a bit stuck I've printed the lot I stuck together 4 squares which say tiers on And 2 sleeves pieces Basically what I'm left with is a square all taped together is that right ? Cos it doesn't look the same as yours on the tutorial? I can't make out how many pieces I should have to make the dress? I'm very néw to dressmaking
@JamieSanders2 жыл бұрын
You should have a sleeve pattern piece, a bodice pattern piece and 2 rectangles for the tiers. (There is also a paper saving option in the instructions that guides you through just printing the sleeve and bodice, and gives dimensions to cut out the rectangles.)

I love it! Just saw this comment 2 years later. (and I am wearing that robe right now, lol Hubby gave it to me about 10 years ago, I have tried twice to replace it, but nothing is as good!.) This was originally a private video, but it's pretty helpful, so I decided to publish it.
