So, do you feel that Gaited horses can be relaxed with their head up (approx. 117 min.s) ?

Thank you for this information it really works 👍🏻thank you for giving me all the confidence with my horse , if it would have not been for the confidence retreat that I attended I probably would’ve never kept my horse.❤

Most of this is so scary for a rider to do that we avoid it, and then get hurt when the horse spooks and bolts. Takes over leadership. This is so uncomfortable to watch, I want to pacify the horse but that has been my problem in retrospect.

I discovered this by accident when we used a pacey mare for a pack horse on a trip. All of a sudden I saw her gaiting with that pack saddle on and my jaw dropped!

I like it a lot thanks for teaching this ❤❤❤❤❤you thought me this while back is super awesome. We go clip and clean the Horse trails and I just jump off my Louie’s unhooked that lead rope and a flash give it to my husband. I’m cleaning the trailer.😂

Head going up when the lead asks isn't giving to pressure, rope halters should not be used when tying up

I went to look at a horse for sale. The man just wanted people to come ride the horse he just bought and didn't trust. He wasn't hard to figure out. He was on Graigs list to a year ago.

Thanks for the advice. Sounds like I need to teach our horse to fear me, while simultaneously teaching him to tolerate my touch. Yikes... totally clueless how to achieve these together. I do prefer difficulty tacking up over getting run down. To date he hasn’t injured me but has bumped me out of the way! Six inches over and I’d have gone down.

Creating fear in a horse is NOT a good thing. Respect is something else.

Cross firing can be caused by pain. So first thing to always do is vet analysis to rule out pain.

Im so used to seeing the freisiens that my neighbors own with longer manes that seeing one with a short mane feels really weird 😅 I always pass by their stables on rides, and I drop by to say hi sometimes they are very sweet people and their horses are even more so 😊

A wonderful trainer of mine taught me about this she's an eventer she taught me how to take back the shoulders and how to disengage the hind end and its been a massive life saver. Actually the two horses in the photo I have we worked on this a lot with especially the chestnut as he was quite a tense flighty horse.
@seasorablueАй бұрын
man i WISH i was there with the green horse I'm currently working. 3yr friesian sporthorse, OBSESSED with moving his feet, especially backwards. Heavy on the shoulder, but wayyyy too light on the hind. It gets super frustrating working with him because we're literally just going backwards or in circles trying to desensitise simple stuff.
