I have a problem with mine. It has an immobilizer. I followed the process of removing the ignition switch and put a new one but when I tried it the steering lock doesn’t engage when I pull out the key and the buzzer kept sounding until I turn the key to position 2. Any idea of the issue?

the downside of no oil leaks is that the parts aren't protected from rust from the seepage xD

I had a w116 with the om617, I almost lost an engine due to the prior mechanic actually pulled the studs out of the oil filter housing and then used loctite to fasten the studs. The filter housing studs pulled out and spilled oil all over the place. I shut the engine down. Replaced the studs with 3/8 bolt/nuts and did an oil change. Thankfully no damage to the engine.

Here we go again!…. I will repeat one more time. I love American bumpers and they look good on these cars. And they also are a lot stronger than Euro bumpers. American bumpers make the car look great. Euro bumpers make the car look chopped off!..
