What I take from this review is you were happy to book the second lowest category on the ship but wanted all the perks included with higher category cabins. As the review went on I just sighed at the obvious resentment of higher category passengers and what was available to them and not you.

Unfortunately, the video tells the truth. 2024 family of six went for (9) days, staying on-site. Without our son's IT knowledge and smart phone, we would never gotten on a ride. Including air travel, total cost was $18,000. All costs are over the top, the lines are huge, good room service is almost non-existent, leaves very little left for a fun experience. Sad, we have been Disney fans all our life. Been to Disney World four times in 30 years. Now you will have to be very privileged $$$$$ to go there. Maybe that's what Disney wants, only come if you can spend a boat load of money. The average American will never experience the Magic of Disney.

We live in Florida, about 2 hours from Orlando. Disney is just not fun anymore. due to crowds - cost, and poor food. Better off enjoying the Beauty of natural Florida.

I am surprised It's is so busy, with those prices..:( I guess there is people who can afford it.. Yet they pay minimum wage and still have rides breaking down .Something wrong with that picture if you ask me.

In 2009, Disney had a thing where if you were a FL resident you could go to Disney for free for your birthday or some other type of special occasion. That would’ve been my first and only trip to Disney because there’s no desire now when I see how much people pay to go.

Disney is a brand that has focused entirely on being a "premium" and "once in a lifetime" experience. They exist solely for the wealthy, and for poor people to save up for years to have a few days of pretending to be wealthy. The greater wealth disparity grows, the more you're going to see stuff like this; when the working class has no money, premium experiences like this which cater only to people who can drop five grand on a weekend vacation are the norm. Another huge part of the problem is that demand is still huge and capacity at the attractions has stayed relatively stable. The only ways to mitigate it are to add more attractions - which will increase the draw to the parks and subsequently increase demand, or increase price. I will say that their labyrinthine systems for booking are insane though. Multiple apps, having to book a hotel to get perks at the park, it's too much. It's an amusement park, it should be simple.

Disney is one of my favourite places on earth but it’s gone down hill , the food is way overpriced and bad quality . Paid big bucks to stay at the animal kingdom, for that kind of money the rooms should be a lot better , they don’t do Canadians any favours regarding the approx 35% exchange on the dollar . We use to go every year with the kids but not going back for a long time , 🥲hopefully management gets it together soon!

Its horrific price gouging, while blaming inflation. It's not just Disney, it's corporations all over the US. It's time for the government to enforce the anti-monopoly laws. Of course that will never happen because - Citizens United.

Too expensive is an understatement! It is a complete ripoff! Besides being focused mostly on selling their Chinese made movie themed junk, it is WAY too hot, WAY too over crowded, and you spend MOST of your day waiting in lines!! NO THANK YOU! I have WAY more fun attending local agricultural fairs in the fall!! Avoid Disney at all costs!!

This is what happens when a company is on the out. When they built this they didn't realize they were on the out... They just assumed they had a product that everybody wanted and would chase at any price; putting up with any inconvenience. Eventually when the word of mouth gets out people realize they've been taken advantage of. No one wants to be made a food. Then the company suffers. It takes time.

It's interesting that the title says it's gotten too expensive yet the park is according to the video 'insanely busy'. Rules of supply and demand would suggest it is still reasonable pricing.

I went to DW in September 2022. I bought 4 single day park tickets as I was planning on only going to one park a day. Plans changed and I went to Epcot and Hollywood Studios both on my last day of my trip. If i didn't do this, I would of missed out on going to one of the parks. I get to Hollywood Studios past 5 PM on that day only to find out that I remembered that I bought single park tickets. They made me pay for all 4 days of a muiti day pass even though they knew this was my last day of my trip. With having to pay $35 extra for the stupid Genie+ and for having the "priviledge" of riding the new Guardians ride(which is awesome, I have to admit), I will never willingly pay to go to a Disney Park ever again! Universal Studios is less expensive, less of a hassle amd just as much fun as Disney parks as far as I am concerned!

So how does the basic family manage to afford going to Disney? Theoretically we have enough liquid cash to afford Disney… but we’re not going to go there and spend that kind of money. This video doesn’t even account for travel to the park….. often airfare.

Former cast member, DVC member, and perennial annual passholder here - I used to sell tickets when I worked for Disney. I still remember a one-day ticket in 2001 being $50.88 with tax. I have since sold my DVC ownership, have been back a few times since Covid and I’m not sure when I’ll go back again. This is coming from someone who thoroughly loves the parks and used to go about 3 to 4 times per year. I miss it so much, but almost like a relationship with someone who has changed who they are to the point where you barely recognize them anymore - I know that going back will not be the same again. And for me, the social stances Disney has taken have distanced them and the brand so far from me that, they have become a bit disgusting. It’s all a big shame for something that used to be one of the top sources of joy in my life. I’ll always love Walt, his vision, and the memories I’ve built at the parks - but they need a serious, return to the old traditions and principles

Between 1998 and 2004, we ventured 1100 miles 4 times to WDW. We stayed at the Boardwalk, Grand Floridian, & Swan/Dolphin resorts. We had park hopper passes, went to the Mickey's Christmas Party, and other special events, and our usual trip was 6 days. The Grand Floridian trip was almost 2 weeks, which was too long. And yes, even then it was an expensive getaway, but we never felt totally ripped off, nor were the crowds unmanageable. Now, from nearly every source, it seems they are both of those things. I'm sad to say, I will most likely never go back to WDW in my lifetime. Thanks for the video, it was very informative.

As a kid in North Carolina in the late 90's, I always dreamed of my family getting to take that magical vacation to Disney World, but my parents could never afford it. The best we got were trips to my great aunt and uncle's beach house on Oak Island, and a few single-day trips to Carowinds when it was still owned by Paramount. Now looking back, I realize that I probably enjoyed Carowinds more than I would have enjoyed Disney World. I've always loved roller coasters and thrill rides, and Carowinds has long been one of the best roller coaster destinations in the country. A full-day ticket to Carowinds back then was only $35 for adults... Way cheaper, and way more fun, in my personal opinion.

In my opinion, Disney is quickly pricing itself out of the family vacation and entertainment markets.
