IIRC Gizzard stones are a byproduct of butchering birds, which deliberately swallow grit or stones to grind stuff up in their gizzard/gastric mill which is passed food from the true stomach that takes it from the crop where it's temporarily stored, they need the stones and grit as they can't really chew and swallow stuff whole with the largest birds like ostriches and other ratites sometimes swallowing really big stones (also a significant number of trees have fruit with enormous seeds that rely on foraging cassowary swallowing them whole and passing them undamaged). I believe they count as a type of gem and they can come in every stone type which I think also includes metal ores/native metals. I used to keep chickens and they'd seek grit out, with crushed up seashells serving doubly as gizzard stones and a calcium source.

Shortly after release, the publisher that helped the game designer to release Stardew announced Witchbrook (I think it was Witchbrook). At the time, there was a lot of confusion about whether Concerned Ape was designing it. He has said that he was never attached. He is working on Haunted Choclateer, which he keeps putting on hold to come back to upgrade Stardew.

This hits home. In my current playthrough, a vampire was elected Mayor just before confessing to 2 murders. She is now locked up: citizens go to her for council & end up dead. The only witness is a cellmate necromancer. Such a weird dynamic.

I saw this video of a person who would alternate their dwarfs Military training annually with working a hand pump hooked up to nothing that resulted in their dwarfs becoming as strong as possible. Thought that was a cool idea. 😊
