The singer's voice is better than mine for this song, which is why I wanted him to sing it in the band (he's a great vocalist - you should hear other stuff we do). I wrote the refrain (or chorus) to point out the fact that people generally tend to believe facades over truths, and only read the shortest piece of information -- such as news headlines (or choruses, in this case) -- and craft opinions accordingly, without actually digging further to find out more, and avoid hasty generalizations. AND... ...that's the problem with our society; people like empty calories of entertainment (very good looking people who can't act), shiny objects, the lure of T&A and money used as a distraction by those on control, in order to stop people from digging into and exposing actual conspiracies. As Jordan Maxwell said, just give people their entertainments because you don't want them thinking too much about what's really going on. In Canada, weed is legal, hard drugs are not punished by typical users (rather, they are encouraged), you can order MAID to kill yourself, we are censored, our guns are being taken away, we are being heavily taxed and gaslit by our 'leaders', but they want us to shut up, stay high and think about the good they are doing for the benefit of the future. Sound Orwellian and Kafkaesque to you? That's what I tend to write about, but in allegories and puzzle pieces, which not everyone gets, it apperas.

I probably embellished a little for shock effect because I love reading all the other viewers hilarious replies shitting all over me. I've been commenting on KZfaq videos for 18 years and I can pretty accurately predict what others are going to say. It's one of my few joys in life. Anyway, allow me to start over and be serious this time. I'm also a musician. I started learning guitar in 1972 at 8 years old. I used to be able to sing too but I've lost a lot of range and now I struggle to hit and sustain the top notes of what range I have left. My favorite genres are the more progressive/experimental ones. I love King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Les Claypool (Especially The Claypool Lennon Delirium), etc Never really got into Zappa much. He is definitely the consummate musician, but I get sick of hearing xylophone, or glockenspiel (whatever it is) in every song 😂😂 You guys are very talented. You gel nicely together and have an original sound. You each know how to compose music for your instruments and know where to put the right parts (riffs, licks, etc) in the right places in a song. You music grabs attention without being overly hooky and poppish (actually it's not poppish at all). As far as the singer. He kind of caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting to hear his unusual vocals in that style of music. I've said negative things about other musicians and they grew on me. Some of the bands I hated at first are now in my faves list lol. So, I apologize for coming down harsh. Dialogue for feature films in cinemas should be mixed at -27LUFS and FX True Peaks at -2dBFS. When playing back, dialogue should be at conversational levels of around 60dBSpl. Dialogue at less than -30LUFS is generally too low, but especially when streaming movies.

Well, this video was 2013, and since then I have created a few more with sound levels maps with targets of -24+/-2dB and suggested -27+/-2dB for film...I even sugest True Peak to be -5dBFS. Feature films have no absolutes, yet Netflix opts for the -27dBFS (dialog-gated) +/-2dB. So, since this video, there have been a lot of developments. Cheers!

They did, on April 1st. Two weeks later, gas prices jump. Our overall costs are going up a lot, but not so much in the way of pay....which will no doubt result in another Gas Pipe Effect - which could turn ugly for the government.

Incorrect. Gas prices have always been Sky High in California, and so is the cost of living overall. Gas prices in Indiana are currently similar to what you're seeing in Texas. Gas prices in the United States even at their Peak post covid were significantly lower than the rest of the world. That's why it was funny that Americans were bitching about the prices but gas prices have not increased with inflation over the last 16 years.

@@areyouswerious Gas in Indiana is currently 40¢/gallon higher than Texas, they're in the top 15 for gas prices in the country, Texas is in the bottom ten. And while Cali isn't quite as high as I thought it was (averaging around 5.80/gallon), it's still higher than it's ever been. Don't come in here talking "incorrect" when I'm not wrong.
