Thank you for this! Seems like Can-Am, or a hardware tool company, should make a special "hook tool" gadget. It could be used to make removing and reinstalling the rubber battery strap easier.

Sorry I’m trying to learn to change my Ryker battery I appreciate your help but I could not clearly see what you was doing, you kept putting your left hand/arm in the way, I could not see how you was removing and reinstalling the battery strap.
@tourinojacks584411 күн бұрын
I agree. The left arm obstructed our view. The camera should have been angled in the middle I think for that particular step. Or maybe for the entire video. You are right.

I was able to change it out, thank just the same also your video was very helpful, yours showed the best way to change the battery using a screwdriver to prior the frame to release the strap came right out without having to take off all the extra parts so once again thank you

Are you not concerned about people stealing from a soft bag? Or stealing the bag it self? I'm going for my M(M) license in 5 days and I've been researching storage like crazy. I don't feel safe with soft bags\tank bags. But everyone swears by em. Also, what is your mpg\kpl for the rally? I'm looking to get one this summer and explore Canada. But I'm not sure what the fuel economy is for a Ryker. Lastly, What kinda safety gear you wear? I'm not sure if I need a motorcycle jacket\pants or not.
@RideForAdventures3 ай бұрын
No concerns. The LinQ dry bag on the very top has a lock, as does the fuel caddy. The saddle bags are under the locked fuel caddy and cannot be taken off. I take all luggage into any motels we stay at. If the fuel caddy is empty, which it mostly is I leave it locked on the bike. Traveled 8000 km to northern Canada and back last summer with no problems. I wear armoured gear that is still light and airy. Warmer gear is also armoured. Motorcycle riding boots. Very little heal and good ankle support. Rally can go up to 300 km but that’s pushing it depending on weight your carrying and how your riding as far as throttle goes.

Have you done a video on that rear case? Where did you get it from?
@RideForAdventures5 ай бұрын
The rear case is a Givi case. It’s a great addition. Love it. I do not have a video of installation unfortunately. At Givi.com you would need the standard mounting plate which attaches to the max mount on a Ryker.

Do you have a link with the particulars of your skid plates, grill guards, etc?
Thank you for your videos. I may be moving to Vancouver Island and I am looking for a ride that can handle both paved and dirt roads and non-technical double-track trails. It looks like the Can-Am Ryker Rally may do very well.

Do you know if your battery is lead or lithium ? I just bought a battery tender and it’s making me select an option of lead or lithium and see battery looks similar?
@RideForAdventures5 ай бұрын
The battery is lead. But I’d like a lithium battery😁
@RideForAdventures5 ай бұрын
Also I might add. I have never used a tender and have found no need for one. If you bike is stored inside then all that’s needed is A charge up half way through winter. Sometimes I don’t even do that and just give it a charge in the spring before riding season. Or you could remove the battery and keep it indoors.
