What do you mean "they play kids, we play kids"? Arsenal played their best side except saka and saliba. LIverpool played without robertson, van dyke, konate, trent, mcalister, diaz, nunez, gomes, gakpo in the first half and kids in the second. Arteta kept odegard the whole time in the game. So it's not really the same, is it?

Even if we buy no player as personally i think we should, for CB, CDM especially, To me the whole defence has to be freshened. Trent is exceptional, but as right back he seems sloppy and lazy for me. Robbo is good but I want a lot more. Ibou and Quansa are good but like players to Virgil. In other word substitues to virgil. We need a rapid and more robust and fierce defender to support Virgil and do some dirty back there. Maybe I am a quality freek. But what i just want to say is we never know what a Manager can bring out of some players even if were considered low in performance. Let's just stay positive. He may not need more players and if so let him deliver with these, if he does want some more players let him get them. All i know is we have been changed from doubters to believers.

very encouraging, we have been impressive both with and without the ball, getting a win here against a very strong Arsenal team the players deserve massive credit, we are still early into the new era, missing players, but the start has been full of positives, pleased thus far, trust the process, Liverpool took their time to pick Slot as the right man, let them pick the right players, if the right approach is sticking with our players and coaching them rather than wasting money on mediocrity I endorse it, dont be as dumb as the likes of ManU or Chelsea

Good reaction vid. Encouraged by us using Dom & Elliot in the 10, and by the lack of success Arsenal had on the counter, quite a few less foot races at the back this season be nice! Still think the 6 and a developing cb, are the priority.

Trust me, pre-season or not a LFC vs ARS game will always be competitive. 2 players that unfortunately does not suit slot is Kostas and Endo, sorry boys I love you but it’s unfortunate. Oh and stop trying to convince yourself that it’s a pre-season game.

@@AllRedShow I’d agree with you if you say “signs of how you play now”.. not clear difference, four or five games into the season.. and it’ll become clearer, what I saw was Liverpool surrendering a little bit of the possession-esque kind of football they were used to.. switch from Defence to Attack was great though and quick. But klopp for me still stands out.! Clear IMO

fatal flaw at the start … discard all the data from last 9 years … pep always changes his team playing style to stay ahead of the opponents and the changes evolve during the season so how he starts always ends differently but most none city fans don’t notice the change 😂😂😂

Keep endo. He’s a good player. Now way we will get £15m for endo. My guess he has 2 more seasons left then left him go. We have strong youngsters. Build within. We have an excellent mentality with the team. Maybe one or two signings at the most.

As much as I appreciate the work you do, I think it is a little counter productive for the Liverpool fans. Allow the coach to do his job because you make it sound like LFC is gonna smash all opponents based on your set up. However that's not true. so please stop this propaganda because u will be the first to call the coach out if things don't go smoothly.

I can only speculate right now and just be excited for possibilities. I have never said we will win the league or chanpions league next year. I’m keeping my expectations low but still getting excited about the slot era.

I’m expecting attractive football with lots of fluidity and flexibility. I know we didn’t have a striker available so we played with two number 10’s, so our formation would look different with a striker. But imo it doesn’t necessarily have to change, that box (double pivot and two number 10’s) felt as if we were playing with an extra man, Cody could play as that left 10 instead of Harvey and Darwin could play on the left instead of Fabio. With two 10’s dropping into midfield to receive the ball, there’s lots of space for the wingers to run in behind the center backs, which we saw plenty of times with Salah. Almost as if your 10’s drop deep as right midfielders so that the wingers can run in behind as the 2 strikers. Darwin could use his explosive pace to run into that space while Cody gets the freedom to roam into the free spaces and drive wide into that left wing. (English isn’t my first language so I can’t explain it better than this lol) I think the right side was perfectly executed while the left was a struggling a bit more. The way Szobo managed to take the left center back with him to create space for Salah in behind or Bradley to underlap was brilliant. I feel like Robbo, Cody and Darwin could do that aswell on the other side of the pitch.

The easiest way to describe the fluidity in the attack (I think) is by saying we have 2 left wingers and 2 right wingers constantly swapping positions and roles to add that unpredictability. I’m excited to watch the Arsenal game in 2 hours, I’ll be watching the right side mainly since we’re missing lots of players on the left. But I can already tell that Dom and Mo will be an unstoppable and exciting duo this season.

As of right now we might still see some risky pass from the defensive line since we still don't grasp this whole ball work and short passes style. We need to be more patient and bear with the errors from here on

I don't think Slot uses 3 CBs. The attacking structure is 235. Feyenoord LB cut into the box often while LW kept the width. RB was more creative and moved up to the half space at the edge of the box (very suitable for Trent). The tactics used by Slot were fluid and based on the qualities of the players in the squad but I think Trent and Robbo are allowed to roam pretty freely. Slot doesn't seem to value questions about the team structure, it can be 4231, 433, or 4141 but essentially that which gives players the freedom to create. At Feyenoord, the 3 midfielders had 2 defensive pivot players and 1 more attacking player who was able to make late runs into the box. In principle, Quansah or Virgil could move into the midfield in the attack from the back 3 like John Stones does at city but I don't think Slot will experiment with back 3 quite yet

Macca is not a DM, he plays as a No. 8. He struggled as No.6 a few times when he played last season. Too slow on the ball, we need an elite six to the title this season.

We can not challenge for any competition if we fail to sign a player. Last season was to be a special season for us due to motivation from Klopp’s situation and we messed up. With a new coach and new system, we are more prone to having a terrible season. How are fans thinking this way. We even had some players leaving and you think if we fail to replace them, we will have a successful season? Hell no

1. We overachieved last season with a completely new midfield. 2. I expect a dip this season as the players get up to speed but Slot has a history of implementing his stuff very quickly and having success quickly.

Arne Slot uses 4-2-2-2. You are basing players on 4-3-3. Darwin Nunez does not suit Slot's play style. Unless he understands and can play from Slot's winger role.
