You replaced the original NiCd batteries with NiMH... Not recommended at all. The charging circuit is made for NiCd and putting anything else could be a fire hazard

Здравствуйте. У меня такая же бритва, но аккумулятори здохли. Тепер я не как не могу определить, какие там были аккумулятори, NIMH или NICd, сколько ампера. На заводских нечего не написано. Подскажыте пожалуйста.

Dude your #8( the switch on the console) that doesn't switch it from winter to summer, and it has nothing to do with changing the rear differential(who told you this shit) what that button does is switches the gear selection from the (W) wheel button shifters to the auto stick and putting it in (S) mode means sport mode! you should do your research before putting out garbage information like this. . . .it helps nobody except your own ego!

I just realized that you are from Montreal by reading the comments. Im from Repentigny but i was raised and lived in Montreal for over 20 years. I also own a SL55 and a SL500. Do you still have it?

Sold the SL55 in September 2021. Became unreliable (got stuck twice that Summer) and was concern about traveling with it.

I have two of that model shaver and I replaced the batteries on both and neither one of them work. When you press the button the motor does not run. The display works and shows a charge. That model is very complicated to troubleshoot with all the circuitry it has. It would have been nice if you would have showed a working repair .

I had the exact same issue. The small surface mount resistor labeled R070 close to the positive terminal of the battery on the back of the pcb (it was blue on mine) needed to be replaced on mine. To check it measure it with a ohmmeter, if it reads anything under 0.10 ohm it's good if it reads higher or open circuit (OL) it's burned. Since it's a 0.07 ohm "current sensing" resistor it should be replaced by a new one of the same value. I initially tried to bypass it with a small wire and although the rasor worked fine at first it eventually trew off the charge/discharge sensing circuit which led to the charged batteries only lasting a couple of shavings. Also note that the full service manual with schematics and explainations of circuit functions is available online if you search. Very useful stuff.

Why don't these A-hole designers/engineers put a simple connector inline to easily replace the battery? My 25 yr old Panasonic phone has one and it takes 20 seconds to change it.

Hallo. Ich habe den gleichen Rasierer. Akku getauscht. Hello. I have the same razor. Battery pocketed. Now I don't know where the part with the green / white cable belongs. Looks like a switch. What is it for? Can you show me this in a video, please? Position this Switch.
@danpro20023 жыл бұрын
Looks like it is the main power switch, and from my video, it goes underneath the motor. But I have not taken it or the motor apart myself, so I do not know how to re-install it, sorry.

It's the switch that detects when the blade head is removed (to reset the blade clean signal/warning). It's a fragile little piece of white plastic that goes to the left side of the blade head when looking at it from behind (with the casing opened). I broke mine accidentally and just removed the switch and wires all together, works fine except for warning signal not reseting...

Hi Daniel Thank you for sharing this. You have made a great setup. I think you can add it to the Canadarm too.. Please share some more about your solar observing as well and any updates you have made. Can you please make a closer video of your setup for the control of the etalon. I recently bought a double stacked Solarmax but I can’t reach the furthest etalon or the Richview tuning while looking through the eyepiece so this might be a solution for me here in Toronto. Best to you

Hi Daniel - why did you not change the differential fluid while you were at it? Seems that should be done at those high miles/years as well.

Hi! It was not one of the changes recommended by the maintenance manual. And... I did not know it had fluids that could be changed ;-)

Very nice video, Daniel, thank you. It would be helpful if you could provide a link to the motors that you purchased; I find it very hard to focus using my hands and also look at the screen at the same time. Also, how did you control the motors; ? is this an ASCOM compatible device you controlled using ASCOM drivers ? Also you mentioned "tilt control using motors" - is this the tilt to reduce Newton's rings on some camera imaging setups. Fantastic, amazing looking setup you have Daniel !!
@danpro20024 жыл бұрын
Hi Bill, and thanks! You can find similar motors on Amazon by searching "12v 0.6 rpm right angle motor". They are very simple 12V motors that you drive with +12V; reverse the voltage and it goes backward. Not connected to computer at all, so no ASCOM. The tilt motor is for the Hydrogen Alpha etalon itself, on the front of the telescope; similar motor type as above.
@skysdaisies76694 жыл бұрын
I did a search on Amazon, unfortunately, no luck. More details about the 12v 0.6 rpm right angle motor" and the tilt motor will be greatly appreciated. Great stuff! thank you for sharing.

You might want to keep the battery tender module outside the car while charging. There have been incidents where they caught the car on fire. I have a 2004 and the alarm siren module didn't work due to corroded internal batteries. I didn't know it didn't work, but if you use remote to lock car, it should beep back at you to tell you the alarm is on. The cup holders are a sorry design. I got one that fits between console and seat.
@danpro20025 жыл бұрын
Thanks Eddie for the advice. I confirm that the alarm works.

Very nice setup. It must cost fortune? What is the cheapest Ha filter, say for 100 mm diameter telescope?
@danpro20026 жыл бұрын
Hi Milan! The filter shown in the video is 90 mm diameter and was expensive back in 2003, so there must be cheaper solutions today. 100 mm is probably still expensive, so you might want to to look at smaller diameter. People also buy a smaller "PST" solar telescope from Coronado and adapt it to their telescope, with good results. Good luck with your search!
