What kind of rig are you running? It seems like the H160 kills your frame rates at times. I'm running an AMD 7950X with an RTX 4090 and 32Gigs of RAM and I don't get the studders and frame rates hits I see in the video. I'm not trying to brag (Well... Ya I am) about my system, I'm just curious how my rig compares to yours with the H160. 👍

It's HYPE not HIGH as you say. Also discribing the handling as 'spastic' is pure ignorance on your part and nowadays is certainly not politically correct. Take time out to educate yourself on the term.

Great video. I have flown the 145 a great deal and am enjoying getting to know the 160. Dumb question, where are these training grounds? Is there an ICAO for them? Also, i have noted on some of my landings (possibly more aggressive ones) that there is a bad shaking that happens. You mentioned that your 160 freckled out at one point. Is this shake the platform or possibly my computer? Its happened twice. Thanks again
@Flightsimmer101-oo2vu9 ай бұрын
Flightsimto has the download for the training grounds, it will have an ICAO once installed in game. Just go to Solopaca ITaly and and you will see the marker for it. As for the controls and the shaking, I am not sure what was causing it, I want to say it was my dead zone on my flight stick was causing it to studder like that. Im looking into it

Thank you for your videos. Because I really have a hard time with this Heli and I feel that it fights me in the air. I have never been into helicopters. I really feel that it needs a update for the flight model. It can't be this hard. It just wont fly as it should. ( In my head ) I don't want to use autopilot because I like to hand fly. You should really look into VR if you can . It's so much better. Thanks again for your information.

I envision there will be updates in the future, and i appreciate the feed back, I used to use VR but i get head aches from it, I have been contiplating about getting back into into it !

If you are not switching on the AFCS (AP1, AP2, AP Trim and AP Stby) in the centre console (which you might be mistaking for “Autopilot” then your flight handling will be awful. It’d be like flying the A320 with all of its FBW systems off. Make sure you turn it on. You should have three green boxes on the PFD.

Rotor loading animations are always missing. When you're on the ground or in the air, the rotor always looks unloaded.

Are these fixed missions or are they procedurally generated? I mean, could I just pick any place in the world and the game would repeatedly generate unique missions for me?
@tortiedude9 ай бұрын
The Hype Performance Group H145 with the Action pack gives the option to make custom missions or create a random mission based on where you are through the tablet in the helicopter. You need the base helicopter AND the Action Pack for the missions (look for a sale for upcoming holidays :) ) Pretty neat system and worth the investment if you really are into SAR/Helicopter Simulation.

HTAWS = Helicopter Terrain Awareness and Warning System (audio & visual cues); CRANK is used to spin the compressors to bring the temperature down before doing a normal start and possibly overheating the engine. If you shut an engine down, then start it up again quickly, the temp may be too high for the next start, so you'd crank it first.

Like the content! It’s a shame we didn’t see the landing from the cockpit at the scene, maybe jump back and forward between internal and external views. It’d be good to get more commentary about how your flying the helicopter and maybe a bit more immersion in the drama (I.e. involvement in the rescue) as it feels like you’re a bit detached. Either that or more about how to fly these choppers as I’ve not seen anyone else really focus on MSFS helicopters and the missions like you have. You’ve got great flying skills so it would be great to get some tips explained or orientation of what we’re seeing. Keep it up though, I’m sure this channel will grow quickly!

I appreciate the detailed comment! These are the hard critiques I look forward too! Thankyou! I have always assumed things looked better from the outside of the aircraft but its nice to hear there are people that like to see landings from the inside as well! I will incorporate what you have described to points of interest for you in the next upcoming videos and agree that more detail about the flight is crucial to keep the viewer engaged! All things I will work on. Thanks again!

Thanks for video. Hope you get subs. Good narrative. I will have to see TR activated on iPad Autopilot page before I give a pass on landings and takeoffs. Proper takeoffs and landings require Trim Release to be engaged till hover and require quality controls and practice. Joysticks make poor controllers in TR hovers as well. No offense. Using TR to center joystick springs is not how real fly-thru helo cyclics function it is just a hack. Most people with joysticks fly with SAS, A.Trim, and AP engaged IMO this makes it too easy. Everyone with joystick probably flies this way tho. Keep up the good work.

I'm also impressed with the video detail. In fact I was going to ask if the mission program did something to improve the detail. I have a tree in my front yard that if I fly over, it looks decent, but at ground level it looks like a box with some leaves painted on top.

I am just learning how to fly helicopters. My goal is the H145. I have heard that it is actually easier to fly a bigger, heavier helicopter than the ultralight weight one. The thing is, while the H145 missions look really interesting, I am also interested in Neofly. I think it will be a while before I can earn enough in Neofly to afford to get the H145. From my research it looks like the R44 will be the best option for Neofly. It seems to be close to a C172 as far as earning ability.

Nice video. I just saw a video about real life ifr helicopter flying. Apparently, the law not only requires an autopilot but also a second live pilot.
