Why do we have to pay up front for basically a plastic tax and costing everyone so much money when all this plastic could just go into the plastic recycling bins that get picked up at home by your trash provider? I already pay money for that. This is nothing but a money grabbing scam. Federal and state governments should just pass laws saying that all these plastic, aluminum and bottles need to go in recycling bins that are part of your trash service. There are probably very few States or towns in the United States that don't have either home pickup trash service, transfer stations or landfills. All of these can except all this recycling and the common people can just pay $3.50 less for a 35 pack of bottled water. It's bulls..t

It is scary to see that if we don’t reduce or stop the use of plastic stuff, our lives are harmed. I don’t use straws in my life and I bring my own reusable bags. One person can make a difference so we just start doing. Another idea to protect the environment is to live a simple life with less waste. “Reduce. Reuse. Recycle”: we see the message everywhere. Let’s not throw away stuff which still can be used to buy environmental friendly products which are produced from far away countries. If we stop using plastic straws, is it better for the environment to use expensive stainless steel straws? Do we need a long tiny brush to wash that straw? Water. Detergent. What is the cost to produce and distribute that straw? It might harm the environment the same. I don’t have the need to use a straw at all so that’s what I think. I can be wrong.

3 quarter's of plastic in the ocean comes from the third and second world , very little from developed countries , big offenders are the fishing industry with their enormous fishing fleets dropping their plastic waste overboard as they travel around the world....well I agree something must be done fast to stop this issue in the future , it's important to identify who the worst offenders are and punish them... if they don't cease and desist they should face a harsh penalties..it would be preferable they burn it for electricity rather than throw in in a stream or river to get washed into the sea!!.😞

All artificial grass and crumb rubber perishes and decays into micro dust. This dust is inhaled and further decoposes inside human lungs. The micro dust then travels via bloodstream into all body organs including bone marrow and brain. The danger to children who's developing lungs breathe 20% fast than adults and who are lower down to the height at which the micro dust lingers makes it obvious that this dust is harmful to thousands of sporty children being set up to become tomorrows terminals ill. It is despicable, obscene and evil to do this to our sporty kids. All parents must demand the removal of all these types of surfaces. Over here in the sick UK my pond/lake was wiped out in six months after a shredded tyre fake grass sports field was installed at Homewood School Tetnerden Kent UK. I have been told to prove it in court which would cost more than I have. The stuff rots away in hot sun, frost, acid rain, constant pounding and attack by fungi, mould and bacteria also inhaled. Banned the awful stuff or at least warn parents about it on the label. The evil must stop. It is obvious the stuff is poison no research to prove teh obvious should be needed unless to deliberately delay banning indefinitely. Full evil story on request on how it i scoveredup here in the very sick disgusting UK .

It is all I see these days, plastic floating in ponds, lakes, rivers, the sea, public parks, woodlands, forests. A section of the river thames just outside London near a nature reserve for bird has literally thousands of small and tiny pieces of broken plastics on the river side, in the mud and grasses. May have been a broken ship container spilling cargo. What a species we are, parasitic 😔

This is a no-brainer. Put a deposit on everything, especially liquor nips! We are sick of these containers ending up on our lawn and scattered around our community. Beverage companies make millions off of these products, they should be expected to pay their fare share to clean up the mess!
