@scottwilson1503Күн бұрын
I feel like Rumley’s cars are one of the top three rides in DLM racing.. As you said.. Everyone’s won in it.. Mark Richards, Kevin Rumley and SSI-Burroughs… Obviously BPJ can’t be overlooked but that’s a family ride.. idk that they’d field a car otherwise.. Bob Pierce is Richards/Rumley smart as well… If I were the Wells crew with their chassis.. I’d want Pierce in one.. Just my opinion for what would make the Infinity chassis next level…

I love sprints (wing & non), midget & silver crown. AND dirt late models 👍 More laps (chance to come from rear of field), self starters, quicker recovery from crashes (open wheel flips can be 10-20 minutes of clean up & restarting)

I was wrong about the 6 (that’s extremely rarely with my assessments). To be fair, I did clarify that I wasn’t totally counting the 6 out but was raising the hypothesis. I didn’t take into consideration just how much better RTJ is as a natural driver then B-Shep. It’s in disputable now. I didn’t take into consideration that RTJ may also be contributing with some of stuff he was doing at SSI. It’s also clear that all the testing and work they have done on the (5)house car has also translated to the 6. I think a few months back may have yielded a less impressive results. It was also Fairbury and a lot of RTJs regular competition tend to struggle. People are hit and miss at that track. We won’t be able to gauge until they hit a few other events. See people think the 6 is some engineering marvel. That’s just not the case. There’s no spaceship components or geometry on that machine. Hasn’t been science the “device”. Even structural redesigns are far and few in between. It’s all the shock package. The advantage the 6 has is that the same guy that’s leading R&D fit everyone else’s shocks is Running against them (if they are running Bistien) If they are running experimental shock designs it will be available to the 6 prior to anyone else. Like the thru rod deal last year that quickly got banned once everyone else finally got a chance to fairly run it. Besides the few in Rumleys circle.
@terrygarvin1392Күн бұрын
Cream always rises to the top. Rumley has been the top late model guru for generations and Kevin is the best wrench for years. Mix in a RTJ with something to prove and they are the obvious favorites.

@timdeutsch4157 exactly how can you fault a driver for making a living and people are blind if they don't think Huddy isn't a top tier driver.
@chrispeck1325Күн бұрын
Didn't say he was a bad driver, or even a bad person (I don't know him personally to be able to say that). It looks really bad on him for the way RTJ lost his seat, with no signs of trouble and for O'Neil to be in it a few days later. Even if it was 100% the car owners doing, O'Neil drives for SSI and I don't want SSI to do well, after the way they did RTJ (with or without an explanation). So, I'm glad he didn't do well and hope he continues not to do well, if it was his doing or SSI, either way, I am fine with them finishing at the back of the pack. Y'all can say what you want, but if the shoes were on different feet, y'all would feel/say the same way/things.

That Rumley car is bad fast. Foolishness was the cause of those who doubted him. With Bloomer's situation the last few years, Rumley's the absolute top of the heap in dirt late model racing. He doesn't need 80+ shows a year to stay sharp due to his involvement with Longhorn and Bilstein.
