Thankful for people like Joe and for World Parrot Trust. How horrific to have discovered that's where his beloved macaw ended up! Keep doing the great work you do.

m in a hotel here in Antalya , there’s a pet African grey here looks absolutely ignored and the cage isn’t taken care of .. I was thinkin of buying it and setting it free .. will it last if let free ? Am not sure - would hate to see it end up dead if I did

It is very unlikely a captive parrot would have the skills to survive a release so it is definitely not advised to buy him to release him. Is there a local rescue charity you can contact to make them aware of your concerns?

Adorable, cuddly screaming demons. First time I house sat for a friend who had a Patagonia I was watching TV with the lights off and being a one bedroom apartment the cage was in the same room suddenly I heard a quiet muttering that took me several minutes to figure out it was the bird so I took him out and let him sit on my shoulder and drink from my water glass which he would take a sip and then then bite the glass and make a sound that seemed like he was biting chunks of the glass but he never did I miss you pickles

I took care of a Pati years ago for a friend sweetest Klingon birb that could split your ears and also freak you out with demon muttering at night. Also loved the pinging my water glass while taking sips and chilling

Even though this video is 15 years old, theres a very good chance that a majority of these guys are still alive
