Hi from Manchester England. Dylan stop beating yourself up and trying to see perfection in all that you do, your doing a great job. Most people only see imperfections if you point them out they don't usualy go around loking for them. Pouring concrete is not easy, I know because I have a friend who does it for a living, pouring vast amounts for shop floors and car parks. Also the wetter it is the better. It will tend to level itself out and will still set but it will set stronger than if it was dry because it takes longer and stresses less. Great work you guys. love the vids, keep them comming.

You should do the wet tshirt trick, in Aussies summer and your working outside, just wet your t shirt and you’ll keep cool for longer

Toolbelt joke. Molly you should tighten the belt and see hubby try to put it on. Someone at my Dad's job tried that on him and he was very puzzled he gained so much overnight.

Green is a nice color! I never had a project that went perfectly the first time. I'm waiting on new upholstery material for my ottoman because the stuff I bought on clearance is SHREDDING as I apply it. The cats want the first try at that, not me.

I've just discovered your channel & subscribed with all notifications. Well done, kids. I love how you figured out your system and showed the progress, warts and all. It's simple, efficient, and done on a tight budget. With the mother-to-be in mind, a counterweight should be fitted to help with the bed-raising and lowering process.

Hi friends! I love watching your videos. I'm enjoying the process of all the projects and your journey. 1 question, is your house a manufactured home? Was the house there or did ya'll build it? Thanks Rob from Seattle

We have had an aboveground pool for 37 years ( the same pool but several liners) . We have a DE filter, use trichlor chlorine (so the sun doesn't burn off the chlorine) and check the cyanuric acid level. After those 2 are at ideal levels, we use borax. Borax will raise the pH and keep the alkalinity stable. Borax will also reduce the amount of chlorine needed to sanitize the water. Test the water frequently.

What a waste of good wood to build a fence around a pool & have a gap between the pool & fence then.put in a gate. No ladder & climbing the pool to break it down. How about build a small deck around it. Like duh. Then you can put drinks on it, lean on it, climb & sit on it & dangle your feet in it. Have a ladder to get on the deck. Something more more solid to get out of pool so the sides dont beeak down. Or hang a ladder off of into rhe pool. And don't get all OCD smoothing the sides of rhe cement when it will be covered with gravel & then don't level the gravel leaving corners exposed to be chipped off. & no. Gravel to the edge of the pool. Which idiot said that. Gravel works it's way under the pool & makes holes in the bottom. The deck would have coverd all of it. Then put wood around the sides. You need your ears pulled & drug to a chalkboard to draw it out & think through the process.

Say next time you a rubber mallet or hammer to hit the sides of your form boards to help settle the concrete and get the air pockets out to

You guys really wasted your time taking shorts cuts when you initially planned and built that space. hopefully you'll learn to think things through more carefully. I also pity all those who followed your procedures and are now living with the same problems, to their detriment.

Excellent job , inspires me to take chances myself. Only things that I would question are : 1.) why no rebar ( or something to lock the concrete together ) ? & 2.) why didn't you hammer your forms ( to remove any air pockets ) ? Keep up the good work.
