I was going through a tunnel on my buddy’s little boat didn’t realize my rod tip was leaned forward like a jousting pole. It hit one of the concrete frame lines and snapped the tip of my rod off. I took pliers cut it down to the top of the next eye and continued the weekend to catch 1 smallmouth and 3 large mouth over the next two days with that rod. Had to immediately swap it out after the vacation tho

Good vid mate nice barra,just a question is the three markers out of Dungo creek into the channel still there I heard they were washed away & the Marine Authorities weren't gonna replace them anyway cheers Serge.
@SergeKFishing
@SergeKFishing Ай бұрын
Yeah there is no channel anymore so they removed the markers. I was lucky on the way back in the coastguard was pulling out so I just stayed on the plane and cruised over the top. Probably about 0.8m of water at 1.5m of tide height and I cut it pretty tight

Sweet video mate. I’m heading to fish hinchinbrook for the first time. Can you recommend good tides for me to fish there?
@SergeKFishing
@SergeKFishing 3 ай бұрын
Hey mate, I prefer the larger tides (around 3m high down to <1m lows) as it pushes the bait out of the mangroves and makes for some good action. I know lots of other people prefer neap tides to fish for jacks, but i like em big. Fishing Hinchy is very fickle and hard, especially if you've never been there before. But it's absolutely beautiful
