My traffic has had dpf sign coming up for about 2 years, code reads p253f oil degraded, tried regens, bought a code reader to wipe code, sometimes it stayed off for miles sometimes for months, tried dpf cleaners, etc last year I gave it an oil change and the code stopped, few weeks ago code came back so I've just oil changed it again, today, but dint know about resetting service until watching your video. So I just gone and done that too, even though service light wasn't on yet, said it still had 2000miles to go but my oil stinks. Hopefully it's cured now lol

Hi thanks for posting your friend is very lucky what a fantastic collection of stanzas I haven’t been in one must be for 35 years my friends dad was a Datsun agent and went in them many times growing up and the memories came back The cassette radio is correct and was standard and Datsun used this layout on 70s and 80s Datsuns until the late 80s cars it was always side by side some had 2 band radios and some had 3 band Loved the big squashy seats and they were just so comfortable on a run My favourite was the 1.8SGL which was a flying machine! Remember the anniversary badges it was around the crossover from the Datsun to Nissan badge in the UK I believe the prairie was based on the stanza and it was the next size up from the sunny The bluebird was bigger still but my friends dad told me the British built bluebird was a stanza elsewhere in the world

On my 2003 ford Mondeo 18 litre saloon. I’ve replace the water pump changed the plastic rocker cover for an alloy one. Replaced both rear shock absorbers! My engine is the one with a timing chain & is automatic & I purchased it second hand having done almost a hundred kilometres I have driven it now up to 340 km & it’s still going strong even though the cam followers are rattling a little the engine still goes like a rocket & the engine starts first time every time! I’ve replaced the ignition coil once. Just purchased a new resistor for the heater from Amazon. The clear coat o the paint work began to peel, so scraped it all off applied two rattle cans of the original colour & recovered the whole car with laquar & it now looks like a brand new car! It’s act the best car that I have ever driven & it handles ever so well! Much much better than the Isuzu wagon thatI used to own that ended up with four small cracks in the cylinder head between the injectors & the water jackets! That cost me thousands to get repaired resulting in a brand new head! They are heaps of shit of a motor vehicle!

At 10:19 you were pointing towards a second gangway and were querying were it went. Until being withdrawn, DFDS ran a second ferry to Kristiansand and Gothenburg (also had a 3-day mini-cruise). Hi Dan, My Hyundai i40 that my wife drives on short trips, always the oil is diluted, would it help if I did a manual regenerate once a week, how often does the do a regenerate automatically? Thanks.
@CarAddictGarageNE18 күн бұрын
No you don’t want to be doing manual regens that’s often as you will totally dilute the oil. Tbh if all the car does is short trips don’t definitely DO NOT want a diesel with a DPF. Doing short journeys it will probably never regen correctly, thus blocking the DPF and having loads of failed regens causing oil dilution / permanent engine damage

Was no codes, but its expected to get the odd time the EML to trigger with restricted flow, real way is to have it mapped out, but once in a while clearing the code is the most cost affective why on low value vehicles. Especially when it don’t trigger limp mode
