We used to stick the tin we kept the cat treats in out of the window and rattle it. Saw the three of them come running from all directions 😊

This is a feral cat which was found in the wild and lived in the deep forest with five feet of snow and wasn't able to be rescued until spring. He was abandoned by somebody in the fall before he should have even left his mother. He was only nine months old when I got him. There is no way to keep a feral cat that lived in the wild in the house all the time. If you listen to my other videos I explain that I live in a community where everybody has an acre of land. There are no wild animals in our bushes because they are attached to houses.

@@deerinnature9611 Good to know the predators keep their distance. I have six rescued ferals (my seventh just passed at age 19...he was rescued nine yrs ago.) Anyway...all were feral. All are 100% indoors. Only one remains distant from humans...me included. . .but. . . he gets along happily, playfully with the others. They all are afraid of a door opening; they don't want to go back out. Keep your sweet kitty healthy, happy, safe & dry. Loved the turkeys coming to say hello!💕

My cat stays indoors all winter long. He will not step outside if there's snow out there. But as soon as the snow is gone, he cries and cries to get outside and escapes on top of that. I guess it depends which trauma.The cat goes through but yes I understand why the cats want to stay indoors. But I also respect my cat's ability to decide what he truly wants. I want a happy cat and he's safe out there. There's no major predators. The deer ignore him, he scares the turkey and the ducks away. That's all we have. Ferals are the sweetest.

I had a bazillion wild turkeys at my old house. I'd gobble at the Tom, and he'd flare his tail feathers... I think we were dating for a while. 😂🙄🤔

Cats have such independent personalities. My Shadow was close by outside, and I knew it, and she knew that I knew it, but she refused to come when I called her name. Just to see what would happen, I shouted, "Cheese! Cheese!" and Shadow came BLITZING around the corner to get a treat. "Cheese" was one word that I knew she knew. I didn't disappoint her, in case I ever needed to use that strategy again! 😺 Your wildlife is amazingly calm!

I saw a dark cat lurking in the upper left. Is that the rascal? Maybe he would come to the sound of a fork tapping on a can of cat food. That usually got our cats in gear.

Everything BUT the cat...Maybe they picked up on the "feeding time" aspect. We put out food for one animal and everything comes to check it out. The dog was seriously despondant upon realizing the chicks he has been herding ALSO eat meat. He didn't care about the pellets and weeds, but.....MEAT? I'm the dog, I GET THE MEAT! (He didn't know)
