I live in Nevada. It's not allowed here, maybe someday. I don't care if it becomes legal, personally I won't take advantage. Rode in Ca for many years where this is legal, saw way too many issues. Broken levers, fingers, and car side mirrors on the road. More than one occasion where the bar clipped the mirror and then bike, and rider twisted to the ground under two vehicles. The lanes are getting way too narrow anymore as they have to squeeze another lane into roads to accommodate the amount of traffic. Kudos to those that want it, I will even support my fellow riders and vote it in, but for me, I am good.

For anyone interested: You could also replace the letter "w" in "Tengwar" with a w-Tehtar. You could even go as far as replace the letter "ng" AND w with this by using the letter "g" and adding the nasal-Tehtar and w-Tehtar on top if it. A little bit harder to read (contrary to all other Tehtar, the w-Tehtar gets read AFTER the letter it stands above) but looks really cool IMO!
@AmenMoto19 күн бұрын
Cool ideas, thanks for chiming in
@ArcastarLanguageArts6 сағат бұрын
The option with those tehtar is exactly how Tolkien spelt it. He even wrote the vowel tehta below the tengwa, presumably because it was a bit too crowded on top with wa-tehta and nasal bar 😅

I was intrigued that heat is a problem 'when stuck in traffic', surely the whole point of motorbikes is you don't get stuck in traffic! Then I remembered in the US you generally can't filter (lane split?) like we can legally in the UK

We get stuck in traffic on the way to places where there is no traffic ... :D and yep we can't filter :(

Can’t beat an airhead! I have a ‘73 model R50/5, one of only 7800 made. Absolutely no electronics, apart from a Boyer electronic ignition which I fitted, twin-leading shoe front brakes etc. I have loved tinkering with it and getting it dialled in mixture and timing-wise and she runs like a sewing machine. I change the oil and filters annually, but only do about 1500~2000 miles per annum. She will easily keep up with modern traffic. I would love an R90s but would never sell the R50. All the best from the UK 👍🏻

This video is helpful and informative. Even in 2024 , I m having the same issue on my scrambler 400x . The immobilizer sign is always ON in my instrument cluster . Had a call with RSA, expecting this to be fixed asap. Just curious to know they seem to be partnering with faulty immobilizer supplier as they assemble the bike in the factory . That’s a red flag 🚩

I have a knocking on a new 2022 triumph scrambler 1200xc with only 2000 miles. Sounds like it’s coming from the top end. I’m concerned about engine damage. The knocking sound seems to be loudest and coming from the top end on the back side near the carburetors. My question is could valves make this particular kind of knocking sound and would an engine with only 2000 miles need a valve adjustment? Could you please take a quick listen to a very short video I have on my channel. There are only a few videos so it’s quick to find.

Have you shown the dealership?
@ginoasci287627 күн бұрын

@ginoasci287627 күн бұрын
@@AmenMoto : I don’t think they’ll do it. It’s under warranty and they won’t get paid unless it gets approved by triumph. The dealer is very very difficult to deal with. They make you feel like you’re bothering them. It took ten months to get them to just acknowledge there was an oil leak even though it was staring them in their face. Them cleaned that part of the engine with brake cleaner and took the finish off. We’re not talking about your typical dealership, this place is a mess.

@@AmenMoto Not exactly, AAA average gas for Florida now is $3.29 regular, $4.00 premium, but know that Palm Beach County, where this station is, is always the highest in the state. And this station, which I pass daily, is way higher than most since it's kinda in the middle of nowhere with no competition for 10 miles. Figure $3.49 at most other stations around. This Shell makes up for it by selling live bait... no joke.

That would be the most basic version (that I personally prefer). What Scott is writing here is an alternative digraph spelling that can be used because EA represents a single vowel.

For motorcycle traveling everyone should keep one thing in mind. EVERYONE packs too much 😅 15kg (33 lb) limit bags included is a good starting point. Can't be done? I lived off 12kg (26 lb) for 3 months and it included a tent, sleeping bag etc. Even with a car its always a nicer experience to have less stuff all over the place.

Yeah you're crazy for camping in the Florida summer... But you should do it anyway. Maybe you'll find those magic evenings after a storm when it's cooled down a bit and a nice breeze is blowing. Looking forward to hearing how it goes. If it's a success, maybe I'll give it a shot. I need more tent time.
